Quote from PeterN :Thanks this is much improved. I don't know if this is particular to the Mosquito model or something in the game, but at around 10 km/h, with no brake input, the front tyre scrubs a lot leaving a black trail... Seem more noticeable with the clutch in.

I believe it has something to do with physics switching from "low speed" mode (not an official name) that works when the car/bike is below a certain speed to "normal" mode. See in F view how the force from the tyre at low speed is always either blue or red but when it switches to normal mode, you get the usual transition from blue to green.

This is the force that a driver is experiencing. If you are stanstill on a downhill, he will experience forward force due to gravity. Try making a steep ramp and be stationary on it - the force will be quite great.

Quote from Gutholz :
There is still the "Mods" button on the car-selection screen, which is imo the place where it belongs.

On one hand that is true, but on the other hand this just places an unnecessary click. For a new player, one button opens one list of random cars which are official LFS cars, the other button opens a different list of random cars but as the button suggests, those are mods. That's just my opinion.

Now that's a cursed image with the FBM grid

Not sure if it fits here, but would it be possible to have a version history available on the "vehicle mods" page? Not saying that it should be required for mod devs to write something there but it would be interesting to see what has changes throughout versions, if the mod dev wants to share that.

Where do we report bugs regarding mods themselfes? Though this might be bug in LFS.

When you do a pit stop with a kart, you can drive while having work done. Go out with a kart on track, make pit crew change tyres, add fuel (to make the pit stop longer) and just start driving after starting the pit stop.

Quote from 5tag :How would you even go about getting accurate data for how grippy 70s slick tyre compounds were?

There's literature on the internet. One example would be "Tune to Win" by Carroll Smith

Thank you Scawen for these exciting news!

Quote from farcar :Scavier seem to go out of their way not to generate hype. It's become clear to me over the past decade or so that LFS must now be more a passion project than a financial one (which is fine!).

I just like to note that Scawen has pointed out several times (last time was approx 1 yr ago?) that LFS is not a passion or free-time project for him and Eric, this is still their main job. Unless I missed something.

Wow honestly this is mind blowing! The park area with several altitude changes looks like a blast! It's fun to experience weight loss or compression, I guess for me it's because Lithuania's Nemūnas Ring takes this quite to an extreme.

Quote from Viperakecske :It gives better times for hotlaps yes
3laps and already 0.040faster laps than r3

So the car is faster. Where's the problem? It would make no sense to disallow r4 just because of oval.

Just to be sure - we will be using the new version, yes?

If you were actually reading Scawen's posts, you should've noticed that this is supposed to be a MINOR update. What you are asking is way out of scope for this update.

Oh I'm just an idiot who failed to notice that it's only 8 cars, not 10...

Quote from Botswanan Salama :I'm not following at all. P10 what where? Big grin

all other cars have their placement generated in relation to p10. P10 car is the only stationary car in the timelapse, all other cars are moving forward-backward.

Now this is an interesting timelapse! I'm wondering why was p10 chosen as benchmark pace and not p1?

Hmm, windows defender removed LFSLazy and marked it as "Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.DB!ml" This never happened with previous versions but yesterday I downloaded U13 version. Any thoughts?

Hey, my friend got this error (screenshot here).

He didn't have any problems earlier but he got a new PC so this is with fresh LFS (version U), then we tried with a copy from his old computer, finally we tried with U13 and we got this error in all cases. Any ideas?

No worries, your unlocks reset to 2 on every Friday.

Corrected by RC-Maus - you get an extra unlock on every Friday until you reach 2 unlocks in total.
