that's true but a lot of assumptions. I was on a Silverado race twice last month and both times while warming up a few drivers were saying they should have practised first and this was tier first time on the track. Not suprisingly, they got in to trouble and took quite a few people out throughout the race. That was their fault for not practising and iRacing's fault for not enhancing the system to stop that.
I don't think there is a system that covers all bases and I think the SR for most is a positive thing. To some though, I know their experience in iRacing races has made them dislike the SR. If you constantly get taken out by peope [at no fault of your own] then you lose SR as a result and I can see why it will get frustrating.
I think having SR is a great thing to have but could do with some way of gauging where the fault lies in an incident. I also think there needs to be work done so that little nudges or taps do not incur the same SR penalty.
Actually, I don't believe that is what's being said. To use your analogy, what people are actually saying is, hey, we have raced this track for loads of time. How about we take our equipment and go and race somewhere new as well as racing this track! If we were saying what you suggested, people would be asking for changes to already accessible tracks like aston etc! However, while on that note, why don't the dev's allow an open track for each location for the Cruise guys!!!! Bet that opens up for a few comments!
Personally, as much as I'd like to see new content, I beloeve the quality that LFS provides is something to cherish well above the many mods and tracks available in other games that are rather crap! There isn't a location/track in LFS that isn't good fun to race and well made! That's the case for a reason! [I do believe that's a compliment Eric ]
I don't want to see modding but I'd love to see some brand new locations (tracks) but would hate to think that Eric would need to feel flustered as a result to the extent his first public post has to be a diss to the community
I just got ARMA to try it before ARMA2 comes out and I have to say it's not the easiest. ARMA is far from CS and DOD and that genre of game which is more fast paced. From what I've seen so far of ARMA its a slower paced game but very in depth and hard!
I agree, get to the Legend advanced as soon as possible. If you get the chance to try the Lowes Legend oval, I love that. but the legend road event is awesome
The skippy takes a lot to get the control and slide right. I've just got the Mazda and I think that is awesome fun! On Laguna its a real pleasure to drive!
I always used to drive in LFS with the two front wheels only showing until I got iRacing. Since then every driving game I use cockpit view and love it. Don't be static and give a change a go you know you want to!!!!!
the trouble with skype is that if the person that created the conference, drops their connection then the whole conference is cancelled. With ventrilo or TS, if anyone drops, it doesn't affect the broadcast.
I tell you what, I think the suggestions were totally right on the whole but that said, I thoroughly enjoyed tuning in and watching the quali's and both races. I thought it was a superb job and I'll be tuning in again for more!!!
WoW... thanks for that post Sean.... that sounds exactly what I was hoping, though no manual..... you're a masochist, though we know that from your driving style
