Quote from Crommi :I capture all my videos in 4:3 format with 1280x960 resolution and they appear as "HD" on Youtube and black bars are only visible on fullscreen with different aspect ratios.

does that mean you put your game to that resolution too?

Quote from DaveWS :Well my first impression of the Lotus is pretty good.

The handling is definately very knife edge, but I love it TBH. You can catch slides with some success, and the grip the thing produces at high speed is awesome. Go above 120 mph and the thing is just glued to the road. You can even feel the steering load increase, and it genuinely conveys what I'd expect ground effect to feel like, even if it's botched a bit. At low speed though it's very very slippery and you need to be very precise. One thing I do like, is being able to setup up the differential properly, NO MORE lift off oversteer!!!

The sound is more aggressive than it seemed on the preview video, but it's very thin and there ain't much low midrange meat which I'd expect. It sounds like a 500 cc version of the same engine.

sort me out a nice few sets please Dave

I was doing Silverstone in the Lotus at about 1.33 but the aliens were doing low 1.30's - bastards!!!!!

Quote from AjRose :The lotus is a bit slower than i imagined. It feels slower than the mazda. Either way it feels awesome to drive it. And the new Linear brakes feel amazing.

What are the lap time differences to the Mazda on any track..... Any idea?

Quote from DaveWS :Internal server error for me atm. How does the lotus compare handling wise to say the Mazda? (Should be quite different onbviously)

Sorry to say it Dave but I was joking

Quote from DaveWS :Yeah that one, but that was updated before the last 6 hours or so of scheduled racing I believe.

I'm not sure how they are going to be sorting it out to be honest. Like Mr Szabo said, he's not going to take part. You'd think they'd email all the Pro license holders to ask them their intentions before completing the list.

Quote from eddie_brunette :I wonder if it is not a 64bit problem. Use to run with no probs and having the same glitches.

My specs:

2 x AMD Athlon 2.55gHZ
2 GiG Ram
NviDia GT 8600.

Use to run XP(32bit) ,then installed Win7(64bit). Other racing/flying sim work perfectly

I'm glad to see I am not the only person having this issue. It is odd that the issues are only in LFS and nothing else. I've tried installing LFS to the C drive, Program files (X86) and even on a separate drive but no change

Quote from DaveWS :

Edit: I've had around 10 months in total of iRacing subscription, which is why I thought 3 heavy weeks would be enough.

any idea what they plan on doing to get new people in to it? I'm sure some of the top 50 don't want to be doing the PRO series. If that's the case, hope you get in there sooner mate

BTW: I commented in the iRacing thread

Quote from DaveWS : . The system is retarded. Way too much focus on SR. Then that borked race where I lost a lap cost me like 80 iRating (and 20+ or so positions in the iRating rank). The system keeps you completely in the dark as to where you are once you reach 4.99 on C license.

I would have liked to see you there Dave but I do remember a post on the 9th July saying you were going to renew. I don't think its fair to say the system is retarded because you didn't get to be in the Pro series because you dedicated the last 3 weeks to getting the PRO series.

Can take longer mate. Still, we both know you're good enough, fast enough and clean enough for it

aaah, ok... I've left everything in the Nvidia Driver control panel at default apart from turning vsync off.

The AA and AF I set in LFS and have it set in the drivers to allow it to be program controlled.....

What's odd is that its only an issue in LFS.....
