at the point in which tyre touches tarmac air particles have no way to go. They face an obstacle and since they have energy (which of course depends on the speed) they try to push it somewhere, in this case to lift it up a bit to make their way through.

I gave it a quick go. Wasn't impressed, overall it seemed unfinished. Sound was horrible. LFS's sound isn't mind blowing, but atleast it has a real good excuse. Graphics, were nice I guess, but there isn't really anything to look at. And how the hell do you wipe the dirt off your visor?

Maybe the physics are better than LFS, I don't know. But I do know LFS is a hell of alot more fun.

Fraps causes problems for me. Sometimes FSAA won't work unless I close fraps. Pretty annoying.

This hobby is fun, but man becareful caus eyou can blow a huge amount of money on stuff, heh. I've got half a dozen different cars, from an old RC10, RC10T, and RC10L (I think, the oval car), HPI's very first touring car (with a 2 speed tranny, man that thing flies), a few others, I don't recall, been about 10 years since I first got into it, they are all in the addic and the back of my closet these days. And my last one is a Traxxas E-Maxx, man that thing was fun, but the damn ESC they give you is crap, keeps burning out

All the effects and stuff was pretty sweet, but the action on the screen was rather disjointed and uninteresting IMO.

Still I think it is nice to see any parts of LFS in slowmotion, it looks pretty good compared to other games and their 'stiff' look.

It does look like the car has some pretty quick rebound. In one instance the rear end of the car gets tossed pretty good by a big curb, when it lands it definitely bounces.

But at a constant rpm more torque = more power. So the torque-meter is really showing the captain total power output.

How about just saying how fast a car accelerates if you want to tell someone how fast a car accelerates?

Those instructions dn't work in win2k. The Video 'folder' doesn't exist.

Yes please, that would rock. With all the tracks and configs we have now that setup list get very cluttered when you start making setups for many different tracks, even worse if you have more than on per track (like a sprint and a long race setup).

Just make sure you trust him. If he wanted to, or was stupid enough, he could get you banned from servers.

Something to realise is, when you increase the braking power you increase the sensitivity and decreae the fine control you have. Say you move the pedal 10%, if your braking power is 2000 then that gives you 200 for every 10% you move the pedal. If you set it to 1000 then that small 10% movement is only 100.

at T1 u cant have any tactics of leaving room or anything, u just have to go for it! some guy braking earlier and leaving room will be an obstruction, and cause other cars to swerve, taking out other cars or smash into the back of the slow guy causing a problem too.

some of the applicant CRC guys are the most dangerous drivers, and in real life would be put in a fence! they brake stupidly early to avoid hitting anyone, but cause a pile up behind them, and this is on just normal laps!

but deliberate non brakers cant really be avoided at starts, if u get hit, u get hit

Oh please, this isn't professional racing, you can't expect everyone on a public server to be on that level.
