Thanks man, the helmet and UF skins were a couple of my first...and it shows, but I just can give them up!
The couple of times I've tried it with wheel and pedals I can see why it would be worth persevering and getting to grips with, I can imagine it's pretty rewarding. However, it's a nightmare to mouse so I generally avoid it

That's actually pretty sexy, the car really pops out (which is the point after all) without looking pasted on.

That looks kick-ass! Probably the wrong place to ask but what do you edit to get the matte look? I've been after that 'Two Lane Blacktop' feel for a while now, got it nailed in renders but not in-game.

Yeah, nice scene, is the car from Version 1 of Bogey Jammer's kits? I'd strongly reccomend version 2 if it is. Also I found changing the shader from Wardlso to something like Phong helped get rid of that plastic look.

I've always tried to do entries using exclusively LFS-sourced stuff and to be honest this is why I'm not too fussed about entering this week, despite fancying the theme.
I do agree auon that there is definite skill involved in using RL photos (lighting for example becomes an arse when things are lit from completely different sources) I just always felt the point of editing a screenshot was make the LFS world look as real as possible...not to replace it. Just my opinion.
As suggested by Silverracer; maybe let whoever is setting the theme decide, that seems pretty fair as people clearly have different interpretations

Just one of those things man, this was a bit of a technical theme and like I said, I have a load of RL shots on my HD suggesting, to me at least, that Dominic was the most accurate...but people want pretty pictures too, they've all been edited and the masses decided
