Hey, cheers, just got back from pub, left this rendering...increased the 'hardness' of Phong highlights:
Opposite problem with the bricks tho...I have an image of a whole brick wall but I need to be able to scale it down so it looks like a wall behind the car
Just slowly building my first scene in Blender, had the problems with bright spots that someone else had (see first pic) changed shader on skin from 'Wardlso' to 'Phong' (bottom pic) and it looks much nicer IMO.
However, does anyone knoe how to scale textures on an object? That background is a cube with a brick wall textue on it, at the moment each brick is 12 foot long! Tried everything I can see that may change it, help please!!
I know everything else still needs work too, still experimenting...
Bit of a random question; does anyone know the dimensions/proportions of the texture for the number plate on these models? It annoys me blank but I don't want it to render squished.
Something a bit different, still a WIP, I want to tweak the dds more and figure how to get decent backgrounds (this background is Photoshopped, well...Gimped...in) Then, one day, maybe some DoF
EDIT: Just a note, only used 1024 skins so quality isn't amazing either!
Between Gav and Brandon for me some of the others look more like 'war of the worlds' than a sunset!
Went for Gav, shame about the motion blur on the distant buildings and stationary wheels but the colours and contrast are pretty and that's what matters
Should do! Most thing's will fit, South City is the obvious choice I guess (it has traffic lights lol) but any of the tracks would do, 2 cars, impromptu drag...good one this week.
Thing is, I love my 'American Graffiti' 'Two Lane Blacktop' etc etc
Like last time; just a test, dunno if I'll have time to fix the probs as in the middle of moving house (such as headlights on road and traffic lights/headlights affecting background when they shouldn't)
lmao man, chill, not a personal afront or owt lol, It's never gonna look like that F+F Toyota 'thing' with reflections this high, tbh I'd love some kind of 'shiny' control a la Trackmania, as my favourite finish is in 'Two Lane Blacktop'
I dunno, the Mexico was like Ford saying "yeah, we know you have a sh*tty job and no life but, here, have a rally car to play with..."
I think that's why I love them, and other decals weren't included, so I like to keep it pure.
Maybe if I used a fictitious sponsor or at least a more 'slutty' one I'd add more sponsors...
EDIT: A brighter colour?! Than Orange?! I suppose I could come round setting light to people's houses...
I think the thing is it's not a skinning + action + Edit comp, I could produce some kick-ass results if it was!
But it would have to be too specific ie, an XRG@Blackwood with drift skin or RB4@Blackwood with Group B style skin...etc etc, I think the comp works because it's as loose as it is.
