hmm, problem I have with AudiBG's is the light-trails (which look kick-ass colour and 'glow' wise) but even ignoring the 'opposite way on track' thing, in the bottom right they are a third as wide as the car in the garage and the 2 tail-lights actually cross at one point! Did he spin entering the garage lol?!
I'd have voted Macsy if the rules were different but the brief was to simulate long exposure, the B+W/Colour thing would have to be post-production so I didn't feel I could vote for him (her) just my opinion though, din't even finish my entry
Tricky one this week, only one that gets close for me (despite the random illumination of the outside of the bridge...and assuming there's some mist kicking about is Dominic. Not an exciting shot but I took a whole series of these in RL and that's the closest IMO.
Car does look good though just that exhaust and door handle as mentioned. Like the UF1 render too, bit of a 'glow' under the tyre, but reflections work really well.
EDIT: Dammit, John5200 posted while I was typing but yeah, what he said...
No worries. I'm very slowly working on an 'urban/night' thing, used your skins in a WIP shot, obviously there will be road textures and walls eventually...
Hey, Raw shot is nice but it looks like you blurred the rims but not the sidewalls?
Also, if it were me, I'd add shadows for the cones/tyres and knock the foreground out of focus.
As a general rule, if there is blur on the wheels the 'shutter' was open long enough to catch movement. Therefore, If your car is in focus the rest wouldn't be (you'd be panning). If he scenery is in focus the car would be blurred (camera still, car moving)
The car is closer to the 'camera' than the barrier so the low angle would effect the car more making it look higher than the barrier if they were the same height.
I don't actually care to be honest just had to point that out lol
Anyhoo, like a fool I appear to have saved a cropped/resized version over my original Raaw anyway (attached)
Question still stands though as I think I've found another...
Rules say 'No old images'...can I use an older Raw screenie if the edit is specifically for this comp or does the actual Raw image need to be new? I only ask as I'm not racing atm, connection's ferked, and don't particularly want to go down the AI route again unless I have to.
Would have been brandons48 but for a couple of things (constructive crit, still nice edit!) At 150 I'd want my lights to penetrate a bit further! And...what's illuminating the drivers helmet?
If you're up for trying I've always thought 'South City Sprint 2 reversed' would be good for this, start would be chaos, but lots of very solid walls and only 2 left-handers so banger sets work well there.
I'll be on soon, just wish I could sort out me connection!
Nothing to post yet tho as I muffed up the render...ie only had a light behind the car so the whole thing was in shadow. Worked as proof-of-concept though.
Poll's only 3hrs old tho...I wouldn't say 240 was representative of LFS users. It's only really covered 'prime-time' in Europe...once...so far, not the rest of the globe or people who aren't here all the time. *coughShadowww*
No worries, cheers anyway. I'll keep experimenting!
EDIT: This is an old render and I've moved on a bit from here but obviously these little beauties don't really benefit from the 'studio' treatment, hence the desire to dump them on a more fitting background. (and no, it's not cr*p reflections, they really have no windows...)
