South City Classic (SO1)
Afternoon Clear (1), no wind (0) XF GTI (XFG)
lap qualifikation of 2 laps, drivers are called up 1st race of 35 laps 2nd race of 35 laps, top 33 % of the field reversed
Just like a year ago, the third race of the winter season guides us to South City Classic. Instead of the traditional FOX, the XF GTI is sent onto the 2 kilometer long racetrack.
It all starts with a lap-limited qualfying session, in which every driver is called in by the race admin one after another. A quick out-lap and two consecutive hot-laps follow the call. With the end of the second timed lap, the driver must join the spectator mode. Excessive tirewarming is prohibited during the out-lap and penalties, for crossing the yellow pit-exit blend line i.e., have to be served immediately.
Two races of 35 laps each follow. The first race will be started by the results of the qualifying, the second race will start by the results of the first race, with the exception that the top 33% will be switched within their starting-order.
Both races can be reentered once, until the start of the third racing lap by the leader.
That's my fault... I fell asleep when escaping from all the Carnival Rose Monday activities When I returned home after the Rose Monday Parade (my home street is on its route) vanished it was just an hour before the start of the stream, so preparing that had the priority on my mind then.
Edit: I'm shoked the words for all the festivities are more or less word-by-word translations according to Wikipedia...
At the end, it is the driver's choice of car. There is enough time to find out what car might be stronger and so on. Drivers are not bond to a car until the start of the monday night event.
We try our best to get the ballancing right, but sometimes it works better then at other times, since it always involes testing and evaluation. The first aspect is also infuenced by the pool of setups we have, the second aspect is needed due to the time that does not allow us to simulate a race so accuratly, that we can statisfy 3 grids of drivers.
Well... everyone in LFS has access to this forum, but not everyone has a Facebook account.
How long are the stages and rallies?
What is the need for a real life car for? Does it have any effect, or is it just redundant?
What is the reason for dropping the second decimal and how do you drop it, i.e. with what rounding method? (In reallife there are technical limitations that force the usage of just one decimal to ensure the correctness of the result. There is not such a problem in a racing sim.
Please note: lap times are tracked from now on, so you can set your lap times for tracker qualfiying on our CityLiga Servers: CityLiga Grid 1, CityLiga Grid 2 or CityLiga Grid 3. You can drive your laps on any of the three servers until 19:00 UTC on race day.
Aston North (AS7)
Day Clear (1), no wind (0) FXO GTR (FXR), 21% air intake restriction FZ50 GTR (FZR), 19% air intake restriction XR GTR (XRR), 23% air intake restriction
tracker qualifying race of 47 laps, with mandatory pitstop
Entrants who aren't able to participate must withdraw from the event (not from the season though) via the sign-up script "CL status" on cityliga.de. Waiting list drivers have to do the same.
In the second round of CL20 you can choose from three GTRs in GT2 specification: The FXO GTR with 21%, the FZ50 GTR with 19% and the XR GTR with 23% air intake restrictor. The round takes place at Aston North on a clear day.
The qualifying is open until 19:00 UTC for tracker times, tracked from the CL servers CityLiga Grid 1, CityLiga Grid 2 and CityLiga Grid 3. It is not obligated to use the car from the tracker.
The starting line-up is set in the lobby screen. The race starts afterwards for 47 laps, about 90 minutes. A mandatory pistsop is scheduled, which may not be served on the first or last lap of the race.
Exiting the pits, everyone has to respect the yellow pit exit blend line. However, due to the narrow pit exit road, driving on the red and white painted part of the road is allowed.
Cityliga returns for it's 20th season in LFS S2, with some significant rule changes that should make things more competitive, but most importantly with the same basic concept that's been used since the series' inception. A total of ten rounds are on the schedule for the first 2015 season, with Round 1 taking place at the Kyoto Ring National circuit with the ever-popular TBO class cars. Who will be the new season's first victor?
Live coverage on Simrace.TV starts at roughly 19:15 UTC.
Kyoto Ring National (KY2)
Afternoon Cloudy (2), no wind (0) FXO Turbo (FXO), with 3% intake restrictor XR GT Turbo (XRT)
hardcore/racefuel qualification of 10 minutes race over 35 laps
Entrants who aren't able to participate must withdraw from the event (not from the season though) via the sign-up script "CL status" on cityliga.de. Waiting list drivers have to do the same.
The twentieth CityLiga (for some even the twenty second, depending on the way of counting) starts with the FXO Turbo and XR GT Turbo at Kyoto Ring National. The FXO carries 3% air intake restrictor.
Just like in the final two events of CL19, we again have a race fuel/hardcore qualification of 10 minutes. This means, once the driver leaves the pitlane, he/she may not return to pits or join spectators (shif-S/-P or menu). As we won't return to the lobby screen, this rule is in place until the start of the race!!! Anyone who leaves the on-going qualification will be put to the back of the grid and may only rejoin on race admin's command (usually during laglap). Anyone who leaves the laglap and rejoins prior to the restart of the session or joins pits in the grid of the hot start and rejoins prior to race start receives a stop&go penalty.
The race is scheduled for 35 laps, without mandatory pitstops.
At all times you have to be alert at pit entry and pit exit. On the pitlane entry, you need to be off the banking and on the apron with the cones. Entering the apron in or after the corner is prohibited. The pitlane exit ends with the yellow line. Crossing will be penelised.
Also, just like in the past, a laglap will be used before each race. A laglap is a race, that gets restarted on the first lap by the race admin.
We want you to respect the closed chat: In the course of the event the chat is closed unless the race admin opens it.
Last but not least a little reminder that it is the first race of the season, so please take care of your fellow drivers. Some may not be familiar with the procedures of CityLiga. Also you might not know your fellow drivers, sothat you might not be able to expect breaking points, their racing lines, etc. properly.
We're looking foreward to a fair season opener and great, exciting racing.
As GrdQualification has ended, team nominations are now open. A team is defined as a group of three or four racers. All have to be signed up for CityLiga 20 Two of these racers have to be officially on the same LFS team. Changes are generally not permitted exept for three driver teams who add a fourth driver. Teams which loose a driver due to withdrawals or disqualifications may also add drivers. Should the team be removed from the team's championship for failiure to feature 3 drivers or 2 drivers of the same team, it should be filled up before the next race, otherwise it will not score points.
In case a drivers fails to withdraw from a race in time, his/her team will be penalised with the deduction of 30 points from the team's championship!
The three best results of the team's drivers are summed up according to the current pointing scheme (see rules)
To sign your team up, follow the instructions in the thread on the CityLiga boards and use the following pattern:
