Actually yeah I am, is something wrong with wanting to know how other people drive in real life. I just wanna know if anyone drives as well as they do here, as they do on the road....And if they though if the game improved their real driving abilities..
I live in Los Angeles, and every time I go out to drive I always end up showing off on how great a driver I am. It's the same thing I find driving in real life then it is here. Does anyone else find that they race allot of other people when they drive, or can they keep that on the track? I can't stop racing in real life, or yeah I'm hooked on and off the track.....I drive a 97 altima stick, and a toyota matrix, so the stuff kicks ass like the xrg. I have also been doing allot of testing around where I live, and I can say this game is the closest to the real thing as they come. Side note: I find racing r1-r3 on the xrg to be more like driving real life, but that's the me.
i dont want to drag any subjects out, but that thing you said about FM Failure made me laugh. One race I was racing there and some lag made me crash, and he just went off on me in his german type of way. I was toltally put off, and I hate people like that
Never, it's just sometimes hard to find people that are willing to download one file and race is all. And I love the game more then ever, and well after playing it for so long I'm just looking to put a small twist on it, and having other people to race would be cool.
just find the slickmod for your live for speed version and unzip the download to your live for speed folder. Then just start the program when live for speed is running, and join my game "slickmod"
you can't say that using any tire you want sucks. Why wouldn't the Devs let you pick any tire you wanted anyway? I mean I can understand some tracks and tires dont mix, but it's one hell of a good time racing the street cars with some real racing tires. You can't think of it as a mod, but a way of making the game a little more different after so many months of playing on it straight.
well i can say that after 20000 miles im just looking for a way to change the game up a little bit here and there. No harm in wanting to use race tires instead of street tires, or taking the mrt offroad a bit
evil2u.com/lfs Thats the link to the slickmod for live for speed s2. It's only really for fun, but I would like to get a group of people to join in on a game or 2 sometime. It's hard enough just asking people online to download the file and run it while inside the game. It's a mod that lets you choose between any tire on any car. So you can run slicks on the rb4,xrt,xrg....so on. It's allot of fun to mess around with, even if it's not official and all. If you are interested give it a try and hit me up.
Remember all you have to do is start it up inside the live for speed S2 folder, and it should say in a window that it has been enabled.
You can't join servers unless the host in running it, if you do then you will get kicked for tires that are not given to you in the original game.
thanks I would like to know. Just becuse I love the force effects, but in order to make the shaking go away it has to be turned way too far down. Well it's okay I guess but if it was possible to go away and still have the effects on high then it would be even greater. Let me know what happens.
Hey right after I wrote that I figured it out, but thanks anyway for taking the time to write. I just wish that when I wasn't playing multiplayer then I could still see how many miles and stuff that I have driven without having to play multiplayer
Are there any drivers that might be conflicting with the ghostcar d3d8.dll? I had a simular problem and it had to do with softwar I installed to make my ati card go faster.
I would think so. I mean of course the best way to do better is race yourself, but if you want to try and beat somebody best time it would be a cool way of doing it. Then everyone could post there time if they beat the best ghost time. Maybe it would be a hot-lap ghost chart. If anyone puts it up it's my idea . But it would always have the best time of that track/car on it. Maybe one day it would be a contest. See who can hold the best time and for how long. One day it could be 1:06.870 on South city FZR, but somebody would download that ghost file, and if anyone could beat it then they would have the new record for everyone else to beat.
I'm going to make a site, and try and have this idea going, I think it would be very cool for the people that think they are the
SO classic / FZR
Pos Racer ST BH TH CB CC Laptime
1 biggie C w • 0:41.150
2 Sracer C w • 0:41.320
3 siurek C w 0:41.370
Then people could try and beat those if they wanted the top. Sure it's like what they already have, but it would be the ghost mod version.
We should have a best lap kinda ghost replay file post. So other people could download other peoples best times, so maybe they could inprove by racing the ghost of somebody elses best time????!!!!
Well this worked for me after a week of going crazy thinking it was the d3d8.dll. It had to do with some drivers I installed for my ati x800 card. I guess when I exited the program ATITools then everything worked perfect. So I guess that's one thing to think about just incase you run into the same problem as me.
I'm not trying to diss what the keys has done, but why the heck wount this dang thing work? I know keys isn't a tech support kinda hommie, cause I'm sure he has enough sL_)(T to do, but why cant this work???????????????????????/ I triend both versions with an ati x800 and the game doesn't want to start. I got it to boot once, but then the ghostmod wouldn't even work after it loaded. Any help would mean so much. Because as of now my life isn't compleat without it!!!!!
Still not getting the game to launch. I did everything it said to do. I have tried both versions of ghostcar on both LFS versions, and still no luck. I love this idea for the ghostcar, but it's driving me crazy trying to get the mod to work....
