If you're really that much faster than a car in front, then it won't take long until you get a proper chance and can drive past them, just because you're able to catch someone, it doesn't mean you are quick enough to overtake!!!!!

I know you can use TrayTools, but I have tried both, it may be personal preference, but OmegaDrivers make LFS look far better on my setup....

Use the Omega Drivers to start....

http://www.omegadrivers.net

Far better than ATi drivers, better looking, just use their 3D slider upto Full quality, or whatever you prefer...

I have no problems with Alt+Tabbing in and out of LFS using these drivers....

Quote from Darkone55 :Well, a blue flag is a blue flag..

But it's not always lapping, first corner for instance!

Some people do not wait for a realistic overtaking place, they simply try to drive through you....

Unfortuneately there are impaitient drivers out there who go round corners at full speed wether there is a clear track or not!

They also tend to blame the slower driver for not getting out the way when it's usually their fault!

If you're in a close race it won't make any difference if you lose half a second per lap or however much time, as you will be racing against another car, you will pace yourself to them anyways!

Plus some noob will take you eventually!!!

Cockpit view is my favourite, but everyone like their own style...

I sometimes use the chase view if I am drifting around a track or RallyX

I would recommend tyre pressures are kept the same, you can change these on all cars, but if you want to you can also change suspension settings.....

It depends how even you want the field, different tyre pressures cange the grip level and tyre life quite a bit!

The BMW park is LFS, at least on ITV when they showed it it looked extremely like LFS!

Also try turning on "Use Compressed Skin's"

This can cause jumps and slow downs on any machine......

Quote from cimermanj :I believe RWD cars should be faster than FWD cars, because they are more challenging to drive and we should be rewarded for keeping it together with faster times. Now we have FXO faster AND easier to drive than XRT. What is the point in driving XRT online then, you always get beaten by FXOs... On a side note: did anybody watch WTCC in Magny Cours last weekend? The two BMWs just smoked FWD cars on start, one getting from 6th to 2nd before even the first corner. Was this just RWD advantage? Ventus

Add to that the weight penalties the seat's were carrying....

Quote from Gunn :Illegal to block. Illegal to swerve on a straight. Illegal to obstruct a faster car on the straight. You are allowed to move once to defend a corner etc but can not move back

This is actually wrong...

FiA rules state you may make one defensive move and return to your racing line, this has been a get out clause used many times by M.Schumacher

Technically defending the inside line and pushing someone onto the rumble strips is illegal as that means they are exiting the white lines and therefore you are pushing them off the track...

However the other view is, you have the line, they should yeild until they can actually overtake...

You should only make one move, and any faster driver can easily make 2 moves to overtake, not just brake later than you

Personally, on a track, 1 blocking move is fine by me as long as there is no contact and you yeild as they pass you

Which by the sounds of it you are more than willing to do

This makes good racing and very interesting to drive, and enertaining to watch!
