Eh.. (considering most of us don't live at the track), I'd say I've had more fun overall driving lower powered, more nimble cars, as I could actually wind them out a bit without the fear of instantly breaking the law, burning up tires and/or spendy parts etc. Sure the FD was awesome, but you could barely exercise its abilities off a track & when you did horse around a little, it'd suck down loads of pricey fuel. I've never been much of a stoplight racer though.
as somebody who's driven an Aspire in NJ rush hour, I understand! (actually managed to make it's tiny front tires squeak under the mad powerz of its 63 F&F mice )
Nice! Would love to have a GT-4, in any year really. We got VERY few of them in the states. Due to such, they're pretty well impossible to buy, especially clean ones. Don't go tooo big on the wing.
I'm currently shopping for another Miata.. mine burned to the ground on Pike's Peak a few days ago.
No pics yet, but I'm currently @ the foot of Pike's Peak. Of course i can't have as much fun as I'd like, but I'll no doubt get up easier than the last time with the new blower hiding neatly under the bonnet! (last time I was literally the last car coming off & thus could move a bit quicker with no oncoming traffic etc )
Nice parts Scrabby & great choice Lionclaw!! (about the only NEW/currently produced car I'd currently buy under about 50g's)

Aww, too many doors again.. clean otherwise though. Would need to see the whole thing since the mirrors, but expect they help tie in/keep the little splitters from looking as out of place. How big are the stock rims?
Dang, I thought three in my first 2.5y was a lot! Personally I've had six over the span of 15y. Two of them were totaled on somebody else's behalf & I've still got 2 of them. (of the two that were sold, I racked one up over 200k miles first) Anybody who's had anywhere near 10 a year has vehicular ADD & should think about consulting and/or becoming a used car salesman.
I was talking about to simply go look at the car, as you stated you had no way to go see it. (or that's how it read to me anywho) I would endure a crowded, stank short-bus if needed, if the reason were to go look at possible alternate forms of transportation.
If mechanically in good shape I'd have a hard time passing it up if at all possible. Then again you said you're broke & if I remember correctly, they drink premium & at least used to = high insurance for younger peeps. (my stepdad had a handful of Probe GT's over the years, including a '93 & '96, while my MX-3's engine came from an MX-6)
They're great cars. 4cyl or 6? Personally I like them a little better than their Probe counterpart, as there aren't near as many on the road/are a little more unique. (at least here)
Nice! ..on my list of always wanted/now possible buys. Especially since seeing one while carving my way around CO recently. (and yes, camera's hide dust very well )
Attached should be what I've been up to this summer & a glimpse of where. (dryer hose & grime temporary, 200whp isn't )
LMAO/too true!!! Thinking back on my replies to him awhile back.. @ least his budget's so low, (considering past "projects"), that he'll wind up buying one that's already been ruined.
I was tempted to buy some of those gauges, but with no brightness adjustment/dimming when you turn on the lights etc, I opted otherwise. That being said.. looks great. You still need to pad that roll bar though, even if it does cover up the shiny. (or pray you never get in an accident)
This ^^
Have you watched any of his videos? I rarely say such things, but the world is a better place without that retard, no matter how or by whom his life was written off. Might feel kinda bad for close family/friends, but if they knew what an idiot he was behind the wheel, they knew it was coming.
With a specific set of reliability mods & somebody not seeking ridiculous power levels, their engines can be quite reliable/good enough to be a DD. Problem is, most people don't do them and/or it's too late to do so before a rebuild. (which has to be done right in itself) Expect to shell out a grand or two for said mods. Unless really lucky, spending under 10k USD for a running, "clean" example will get you a mechanical nightmare. I spent a couple years reading up on the forums for what to look for, talking to previous owners of the ones that caught my eye etc, before pulling the trigger. (which is what any realistic, experienced owner will advise)
Look to pay about 4-5k USD for a solid roller. A clean running example, and it's really hard to find ones that've actually been treated right/aren't prone to catastrophic failure etc, (thx to people like Klutch), is going to run $10k+. (that's the low end) Parts/labor's not cheap & you have to actually have a brain in your head to wrench under the hood.
I hope for the sake of all mankind, you don't fulfill that goal. To see you lobotomize an FD would quite possibly cause every decent car enthusiasts heart & soul to implode. I guess considering your last "projects", at least you won't likely have the budget to wreck a good one, or get very far before running home to mommy crying. Please refrain from posting pics if you do somehow manage to save up enough lunch money to start an FD bastardization though.. (that last bit goes for pretty much any Mazda)
Looks like a steal for the price. I've often thought of picking up one of those as a FWD/winter machine project.. if I got rid of the MX-3 it'd most likely be for an AWD of sorts though. Good luck!
While I didn't spend more than a minute or two looking myself, I did Google both "DXTweak v4.30.229" and "DXTweak" and all I found were bad links and/or other people looking for it etc.
I would, but managed to accidentally delete the folder where I backup game files like that, (a few days ago), losing all kinds of save games, tweak files & stuff.
