Also one should note, that if it's demo, moving to the right in turn one would be moving to the inside.
Weekday Fun Kart League

I understand people may not be available on weekdays to race, but they are the only days I am able to, so I figure I'll give this a shot.

I intend on setting up a weekday fun kart league. We will mainly be racing on Autocross layouts, but I also plan on having maybe one or two races on FE1 or a custom open-track layout. [b]ALL TIMES WILL BE EASTERN STANDARD TIME (GMT -5) as to make it easier for all.

If we have enough people, I may make a small leaderboard of sorts to show who has the most points and whatnot. Feel free to post below if you're interested and I can start setting it up!

I take rarely used cars (Much like the RAC) and drive them around tracks I'm not used to.

It's a lot of fun, honestly!

I nostalgia'd reading this thread because I remember mid-2003 playing LFS' demo. Was a turning point in my life, because if it weren't for LFS I wouldn't be using the computer as much and in turn would not have a scholarship for computer engineering.

BL1 is a great track, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Quote from SilverArrows77 :Well yes, the old red wheel has 270, while the current black momo force uses just 240 (Which is what the majority of momo users will be using)

I've got the red MOMO.

And i have the actual box here for my momo, clearly stating 240degrees of rotation, on the side.

Well no it depends on your model, I have the red custom edition, with the colored buttons. I believe it's the older model, not the newer one. I'm pretty sure the newer one has only 240 degrees, while this one has 270.

I thought I'd try my luck at another track. I was successful (in my opinion) with my Maple Hill tracks, so I thought maybe I still had it in me.

I'm trying to upload a screenshot right now, doesn't seem to be working.
My first try at an "artsy" LFS video

I tried to make an advertisement for LFS, however I'm short of funds and lack the proper editing software other than the Windows Movie Maker so graciously supplied by Microsoft.

My computer was having strange lag spikes while running Fraps during the filming of this, being strange because I have a mid to high-end PC. It normally runs Fraps fine (yes, anti-aliasing was off) but for some reason didn't like LFS.

Please be gentle/nice, it's my first and please take into account my lack of supplies. Try to use constructive criticism. I can take it like a man if you say "It sucked hard" though.

My first time racing with a wheel

So I finally managed to get a wheel. It's a MOMO Force Feedback wheel my uncle has had for a long time but never really used. He still had the wheel and the pedals so I asked if I could have it.

This is my first ever time racing with it, using the pedals and wheel. I've always used a controller while racing

Laugh at me, help me, whatever.

That link is for a little guide i did for momo wheels, as i use one aswell. Their certainly no G25 etc, but ive had many many hours of fun racing with my mom, and its certainly better than a gamepad or some of the other cheaper wheels on market..Plug it in and get racing!

Thanks mate, I've read through some threads about the wheel and have heard it's not the best. But hey, what do you want, it's free

MOMO Force Feedback wheel

I just found a box in my uncle's basement for a MOMO Force Feedback wheel. He used to be big on racing games and he's had this in storage for a while. It has the pedals and the wheel included in the box.

I have it now, and am wondering if this will work on Vista 32-bit. The box for it says for "Windows 95 up to 2000"

EDIT: I also want to know if this is a good wheel for LFS.

Just something I made.

It's a little short track made for the UF1/MRT (made originally for UF1 but if you're so inclined you can use the MRT too)
Decent budget racing wheel? (USD)

I'm trying to find a racing wheel after playing LFS for around 3 years with a controller (Logitech Dual Action).

I need a good one for preferrably less than 50 dollars. It can be a little higher, but no higher than 75. Also, I'm using United States Dollar (hence the USD in the title)

Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

This should be a T.V. advertisment for LFS. I mean, it's absolutely stunning.

I think that while rFactor and LFS are still being worked on by developers, it's hard to say which one is better until all work on the programs are done.

We can only judge by which one has the bigger lead right now. I've played both rFactor and LFS for quite some time now. LFS has the advantage over physics and car handling in terms of realism. rFactor has LFS in that the tracks and environments are much more realistic.

Personally, I really don't see why so many people say that rFactor sucks. It's a totally different game. Stop being LFS fanboys and go race.

I was in my driveway yesterday making a little course for my scooter (I was a bit bored)

Then, today I decided to remake it in LFS, and share it with you.

There's one picture. Be careful of that last turn. It's a doozy.
