I don't understand SHIT of your posts Ant. I wonder what's actually pulling the level down of this forum more... female avatars or your bullshit posts.
Sorry to start another points-thread, but we've been breaking our heads trying to find out how the team standings are calculated.
The info-block on the website says:
So I started calculating the points with the italic part in the quote in one hand, and the - very nice - new feature on the website ("Team results") in the other.
Here's what I came up with for my team:
Driver Result Pool Points
Event 1 1ST » C .Krognes 4th 1 116 1ST » H. Piiriste 8th 1 112 1ST » P. Mäekivi 9th 2 101,5
I see... ok then you've done nothing wrong and I will take my words back
I still don't agree with making this available though, but those words are adressed to Scawen now
BTW Just tried the app and it's just like real-life data-analysis software... very neat!
Seems like a nice tool, but this ^ is wrong in many ways....
In fact, I think it's against the rules in the license agreement... I will have a look if I can find it.
Edit: I can't find it at the moment, but I can recall a rule that implied the retrieval of setup information is illegal.
I would like to stress that I definitely respect your programming skills, but I strongly suggest you remove the above feature... for league races where setups are an important part of the preparations... this can nullify hard testing work for finding a decent (long run) setup.
Edit2: If I misunderstood, and this can only be used for spr, then the above doesn't really count (regarding the long run setup). But then it's still an unfair thing to do. If someone wants to share his setup he can upload it. If he doesn't want to, he should not be forced to in any way!
Kalle: thank you very much for auto-qualifying me for this league, but like I mentioned above, the Dutch league season has already started and therefore I will miss 3 out of the 5 races in UXRL this season
So I'm very sad to say that you're free to give away my spot for this season... I hope I can be back next season. Good luck everyone!
Drivers lineup: Christian Krognes - Chriskart - Norway Stephan Weingran - fapex - Germany Hendrik Piiriste - lastpunisher - Estonia Priit Mäekivi - Priitmek - Estonia
I agree arco, and I dont think Fusion deliberately tries to steal points.
I think that the actual problem was the way the points-giving was found. If only there would have been a statement in the results, saying "Although arni is marked as disqualified in the race results, we've decided to give arni his points for the following reason..."
Now it was someone with a sharp eye (can't remember who) who had to find out, and I myself can understand he posted here to display his surprise.
Another good coverage indeed Again an improvement over last time, so that's great to see!
As for improvement suggestions, I agree with most of what Shotglass mentioned above... especially the fact that the video was a bit choppy from time to time was a bit "disturbing".
And I've found one obvious mistake: H. Piiriste isn't - although he has replaced T. Arends who is - Dutch. He's from Estonia, would be great to see that corrected in next race's coverage.
Anyway, good job again, looking forward to the next one
Are you sure about that? I thought that functionality was already implemented, triggered by yellow flags... if not then I'm sure Frank is planning to implement it in the future
Anyway, I'll point him to this thread when I see him.
Thanks for correcting it and big respect for publicly admitting your mistake.
In that perspective I would also like to apologize for the way I protested against this penalty in IRC - anger made rude.
Edit: circumstances (no live timing) made this difficult for both of us anyway...
I was curious what you guys were up too since I saw you online a lot recently on a server funnily called ConeClashers... (no I'm not a stalker )... Knowing you, that must mean you're up to something weird again... I'll try it when I get home
