Anyone who's seen yesterday's DTM race, will have to admit that those kerbs might actually not be buggy at all (Paffet flying in the air when he tries to re-enter the track in lap 1)
EDIT: Ignore this... I didn't know it's one hour after the stint finished
The one hour rule seems funny to me too... especially when taking into account a replay of the incident is needed in order to make a valid complaint. That means when a driver has an incident in the first hour of a 2 hour stint, you'll never be able to file a complaint.
Hehe, cooling fuel isn't a bad suggestion... but brake cooling might be more obvious. But... hang on.. there's not even a hole in the hood...
Oh well... either way, ricers will love it
On-topic I have to say that the GTR drawing from the OP is very nice. I just wanted to point out that the idea is not new
Feel free to delete this without notice if it has already been suggested, but if we could get the gap in seconds (or laps) to the cars in front and behind... that would be awesome...
Same question as DeadPrairyHoundSkeleton. If it's intentional, this isn't a universal solution... Nevertheless; thanks for the explanation, good to see a final answer for this race
Seriously, I don't understand what's wrong with Tweaker's explanation.
"Keep two wheels on at least the curb at all time, and the green patch is NOT a curb"; universal solution that can go for every track on the calendar and it's clear as glass. I don't see why you need moving images to make a decision.
I'd say let's take Tweaker's neatly designed image as the rule, since that way it's nice and clear for everyone. Can we have a final answer now please? To be honest I wouldnt want to tell my drivers to change their lines again, one day before the qualifying and two days before the race.
Isn't it possible for some pro coder out there (shame Frank is busy) to program a "penalty-cone" which, in case you hit it, adds a second to your laptime...? Quite similar to how AutoX works.
The cutting I see here is quite nasty, good to see the laptimes deleted...
