Could you please give some more info about the queueing system? Does it only work for full servers? Asking because I just had the "a player is disconnecting" message when trying to connect.
Oh and for me it also says W38 in the main screen.
Ive wanted to suggest this some time ago too, but there is one downside to it... what if there is no admin around and someone is in the grid list, not clicking ready... you would never be able to start the race!
Maybe a timer on the "ready up" button could fix this.. so you have to click it - say - at least every 30 seconds to let LFS know you're still ready to roll.
And +1 for the queue list, I think I've seen every possible "Failed to connect to server" message tonight..
"Player already connecting"
"Player disconnecting"
"Unauthorised connection"
"Did not receive track info"
and I'm still forgetting a couple I think..
But I'm pretty sure it's on Scawen's todo list.. it's probably not as easy, otherwise it would have been implemented already
A bit more on-topic: on the Bug Test Server I got a black screen, just by resizing the LFS window (was windowed at the time). I can't seem to reproduce it now though, so this is probably not a very useful bug report
Just installed W35 for our server and everytime I select "Aston Cadet rev" as a track, and try to change the amount of laps, it tells me it's an autocross track: Autocross : fixed number of laps
Seems to be ok for other tracks so far... gonna test a bit more-->
And the spectator colors could depend on the driver's chosen (team-)colors for the pitbox (thinking of MAGGOT's suggestion from some time ago; http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=12119)
Hahahaha I knew it was a discriminating joke
Anyway, surely Vince is even faster than me with a caravan behind his FZR, so Id better shut up now, before he swaffels me
Also LFS stutters slightly everytime the "Saving skin....... " (or something similar) message comes up... wasnt racing now, but I can imagine that could be very annoying while racing!
My cpu is a P4 3.2 Ghz, trying to find out my harddisk type atm (think that's relevant at least?)
Edit: 160GB 7200rpm Maxtor 6V160E0 8MB SAII
I will have to contact our host for the version number, but yes we've been using WINE for our LFS servers, and yes, we've also had a lot of problems with servers just "hanging" and needing a reboot.
They seem a lot better lately though - maybe the host changed the WINE version or something... I'll try to get some more info.
