Quote from Tazka :And no they're not drifting, just traction problems.

Looks great!!

Quote from Spangler_CZE :Just a quick try. Nothing special.

Very nice, but note the "Road cars only" in the rules

24-09-2008 - F1RST Racing is proud to announce the signing of one of the strongest drivers in LFS history: Vincent Staal! With Vincent we have completed our search for a competitive line up in the Masters of Endurance season which is due to start at the 4th of October 2008.

Vincent's trophy-cabinet can be best described as impressive. He is a multiple Dutch LFS and GTR champion and a winner of various leagues in LFS. Drivers in the Road Sport Summer Cup, OLFSL Skill Driving Challenge, good old Drivers Emporium challenges, ESL ESCC and numerous other top leagues, have seen Vincent taking away their chances for a win. Further more, with two wins in this year's LFS World Series, Vincent lead the way for a Dutch overall championship win.

So it's obvious Vincent's driving capabilities are from an extraordinary class. Apart from that he is a brilliant setup expert and, most importantly, a friend of the team since the very beginning. That's the reason why Vincent is looking forward to represent F1RST Racing in the Masters of Endurance series!

We on our hand are more than confident he will increase the team's overall performance and are looking forward to seeing him on track! On behalf of everyone on the team I wish you a very warm welcome and a competitive stay!

R. vd Kooij

Quote from Vinnylegends :Well, Im ok fine with that. But ive got 7 years of kart experience and I know that bad material ruins your drivingstyle.

Do you honestly expect that one afternoon of karting fun will ruin a driving style that has been developed in seven years of karting experience?

Quote from Becky Rose :Location of the track is important to me though, I dont want to be taking 2 days out for karting when i've limited yearly holiday to spend in Holland as it is. I'd like to go karting, have a meal and drinks then get back to Haarlem in time to polish the trophy.

Manage to spend 2 days getting anywhere in Holland and your first beer is on me

Quote from Vinnylegends :They are new indeed. But still the track sucks. Prolly too bumpy and stuff. And i think that those karts are just indoor karts. With a slow engine. So to me they are still dump karts. Berghem has alot faster karts for the same price and Berghem actually has straights.

*EDIT*
What would you expect from the oldest karting track in Holland???
The tire walls are probably grown onto the grass.

That's a hell of a lot of probably's and think's for someone who acts like he knows the place...

I've been to Driebergen once and indeed it doesn't have the professional looks of Berghem (which I have visited twice) but it's definitely not as bad as you make it look. It would be just fine for an event like this.

Edit: either way my personal preference also goes to Berghem, but if Driebergen is chosen above the rest, the world isn't doomed.

Quote from DaveWS :Either way, Felipe Massa DID NOT deserve to win yesterdays race.

He was the only one not to make a mistake in the closing damp laps though...

Quote from Intrepid :So please explain the fine he recieved for an unsafe pit release? and then explain to Bruno Senna why his championship hopes have gone up in smoke for doing the same thing

I'd be interested to see footage of the incident with Senna you are referring to.. can't imagine you can put that and Sutil/Massa's one on one for a comparison.

Quote from Thommm :/edit: I hope my car even makes it to the karting track, driving a tour wouldnt be wise

Same here, or maybe the under-aged can follow the tour by bike to pick up the parts?

Quote from Mustafur :Also if Kimi had of FINISHED(and make this extra bold) then he would of got a 25 second penalty for overtaking under yellows, the same thing happened with Glock and wasn't set untill after the race.

But i guess you can add 25 sceonds to his retirement.

He's actually classified as 18th, so if what you say is right, he really should have got those 25 seconds penalty even if it doesn't have any effect on his finishing position.

Quote from RossUK :Those last few laps were some of the most exciting I've seen in a long while, its not often you get an adrenalin rush watching F1 to say the least. In fact the incident in question is what I watch racing for. Who cares if things get a bit tight and one car has to go off track? As long as the offending car lets the other back through all is fair, that's the spirit of racing right?

Well put! That's exactly how I experienced it... We were screaming, shouting ánd jumping on the couch at home... especially when Rosberg went off track and almost caused triple mayhem... My heart rate went through the ceiling

Either way, as much as I disagree with the penalty for Hamilton and as much I understand the dissapointment from people here, I think the whole conspiracy thing is being taken too far.. As mythdat already pointed out it's not the first time a penalty has been handed out for an incident like this one (mind you: even with no Ferrari's involved).
Plus, the 25 seconds penalty is just plain and clear in the FIA rules book, so there's no discussion there either..
Plus, and I quote:
Quote :Q. Was the protest of which we've just seen the penalty, was the protest lodged by Ferrari?

SD: Absolutely not, absolutely not. We were summoned by the stewards at the end of the race.

Source: http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/70403

Ferrari did not lodge for an appeal, so that's the end of another discussion..

It's just a (in my opinion wrong) decision from the stewards, why would Ferrari have anything to do with that...

Quote from NL_RevZ :..

So if I understand correctly they don't have preset arrangements? If not, I'd suggest to make our own format (free practise, qualifying, race, final) and let them make a price for it depending on how many people show up.

Quote from CasseBent :I'm sure you'll have a long winded answer for me. Which in turn will make me consider that hamsters are the dominant species because they have fluffy backs and no tails.

Quote from sinbad :Hey, why are there no aspirins in the jungle?
Because the paracetamol.

Golden, but if we look closely we'll see that "paracetamol", whilst sounding a lot like "parrots eat 'em all" is actually just the word "paracetamol". Any in any case, IF there were a jungle with aspirins in it somewhere (very hard to believe!!!) parrots would not eat 'em all, leaving the joke completely redundant. Stupid made up nonsense. It is bad for medicine, bad for the jungle, and worst of all, it suggests that parrots are drug addicts, and I find that offensive. Down with made up jokes!!

Hahaha! I had to laugh at original post, but these comments absolutely made my day :ices_rofl

@lerts: I enjoyed most of your posts so far, but don't take it too far man...

As far as I know, switch statements can only handle integers, you're asking it to work with strings.
