Give me a steering wheel and I'm surely going to use it on LFS. Otherwise, don't tell people who can't get a wheel to play on separate servers. I play with mouse but there's no point on turning lock to lock in 0.1s, it's plain ridiculous.
About the chase view, even though I don't think it's realistic, I can't see any problem at all on people using it. Actually I think it makes driving much more difficult than on cockpit view. Now, using cockpit view with wheels only is very weird, and I don't like it. I'd never use it. But people have this option by default, so I don't mind it at all too
No way!
I already use all of the keys you mentioned. A - look left
D - look right
S - downshift
W - upshift
E - clutch
Q - look back
Z - speed limiter
X - traction control
C - ignition
G - lights
B - horn
V - change view
But I wouldn't mind if you choose any other keys It could be like IJKL as Zen321 said...
@ the OP, well I'm neutral to this idea, I wouldn't mind it in the game but I wouldn't be against it either... I like it on TDU though, and I use it very often.
Change "to sleep" to "to the forum/TV/playing/etc" and then you'll get it right. You should not stop sleeping (or sleep less time) just because you need to finish work which you haven't done because you were doing something else. You should instead do your work rather than finding something to get yourself distracted
I didn't even know this hack existed when I got MC2, so I didn't do that on mine
Although I doubt it, that can be the reason Rockstar doesn't make the game on PC. You see how great security they did on GTA IV? They've spent 200,000 on DRM and created a lot of triggers to make cracks don't work (and if they worked, people wouldn't be able to play correctly), but a working crack was released a few hours before the game got out. And also the ability to mod game files: they've put a single .txt file to track other files' size and modification dates and make modding impossible, but this file also had to check itself so all we had to do was rename it and make it track the original file (even though they seem to have made mods unable to run online on patch 1.0.3.0)
So it is possible to imagine how long would take to someone create a hack similar to MC2 for MCLA.
You can try downloading Windows 7 beta from a reliable source or waiting until RC goes out (most likely May) and installing it... to get a key for it, go to Windows 7 Beta official page, select which version of Windows and log in to a Windows Live account (e.g.: hotmail, xbox, etc). If you get this original key, you'll be able to activate Windows Seven and download Windows Updates, drivers etc just like you would on any other Windows installation.
Note: Build 7000 is the "beta" one that Microsoft released to public, anything other than that is a leaked version.
When I'm home, I'm lazy until I start working on something.. after starting, I can take hours or even a full day (24hrs) on it (taking 10 min pauses every 5 hours, of course).
And I usually start working faster when I'm over pressure. For instance, if I don't have much time before I have to finish whatever I'm doing, I won't be lazy to do it and will work faster.
I don't have concentration problems, and I can pay attention to more than a thing at once (i.e.: writing something to a friend on MSN and saying/listening to someone near me). This often piss my parents off because they think I'm not paying attention, reading and writing on the computer, "so repeat what I've just told you", and I always repeat it perfectly
But I have a problem, I'm very perfectionist and I always check everything I do a lot of times. Sometimes I get myself reading something I've written more than 10 times before actually considering it finished or sending it (if it was a email for example). And I almost never change anything, just read it all over again.
I finished all of them at least "quick", and tried to get "pro" on all of them.
It was one of the first things I did when I wanted to improve my driving skills, in 2005, when I started playing LFS. But after completing all lessons, I never touched them again.

In the first instance I didn't like this thread so much, but after doing it I found it quite funny, specially because of some songs and how amazingly they fit (or not at all) the title
You can set a cell phone and any other mp3 (mp4, mp5, mp724372872, etc) player as a USB flash drive too (basically, everything that connects on a USB port). And, on Windows 7, you can set a CD-R or DVD-R disc as a USB flash drive too. And you can copy or move files to it as much as you want, then just eject the disc and put it in another computer. You'll still be able to burn files on it again, whenever you want (until it gets out of space, of course).
Windows 7 also records .iso images by default... Nero or any other burning program aren't needed anymore
The installer includes all files that were made until now (also with the latest bug fixes).
About the menu backgrounds, if you download the files from the original link (without installer) you will read: "Unfinished Addon", and will also notice it doesn't include these menu backgrounds you mentioned. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=G2JQWK2X
So, the installer is complete with all files available until now. And I'll create patches for it and update the installers if Lynce make any other updates too.
November 1995 if I'm not mistaken. I usually played Dave and "Bump" (or something like that, a MS-DOS game in which the main character was a yellow ball). And quite a while later, Commanche 3. But I loved Destruction Derby 2 too!
It's simple as pie. Just do what it says and you'll get your account back within 4 days. The last hijacked account I recovered was answered on the day after I sent the request (almost all of them took a very short period of time to get solved (i.e.: 1 day)). The only exception being when I lost my password and my secret question: I got the account back on the same day (sent the request 11am, received the answer 7pm, GMT-3).
Wow, things seems to be really bad there. But browsing Youtube from here (Brazil) we still have the HD and HQ buttons and also fmt 16, 18 and 22 work correctly. Also we don't have any music videos censured, only if we post a video with copywrighted song, but they usually don't find many of these videos. Actually I've only seen 2 "censured" videos so far: both of them were posted on this forum, and gave me a "region restriction" message.
You should've seen my sister's FX5500 256MB then: stable 40~42FPS on a Celeron D 1.8GHz, 1GB RAM DDR 333MHz no less than 26fps with 9 (online) cars on the track. (no AA, full textures, AF 4x, minimum car LOD, 1280x1024 32bit). I gave her a new computer for birthday by the way
And of course, a 8600GT can get even higher FPS on LFS depending on the PC's processor.
By the way, is there a difference between hyper pi and super pi? (the programs)
I have the "Super PI" program here, and my E5200 stock (2.5GHz) calculates 1M @ 22secs. (42°C)
Is his processor dying or something? A friend of mine overclocked a E2160 @ 2.93GHz (sth like that) and got 1M @ 23sec (also on "Super PI" program).
But please let's not stay too far from the topic
I mentioned the CHKDSK feature because I have once turned the PC off incorrectly and when I started Windows it found plenty of errors which were slowing the PC down.
I'm sorry but this is not great at all
My FX5200 128MB ran LFS at 1024x768, 32bit, 75hz, no AA, 8x AF, about 45~60fps on Pentium 4 2.8ghz. (full textures, full skin res)
Never went lower than 35fps on most demanding parts (too many cars online).
Your graphics card should run LFS a lot better than this.
And from what I've read it may seem weird, but for me, newer driver always meant better performance (except for ancient graphics card such as GeForce MX440)
@ hazaky: +1, except for resolution: 1680x1050 + enbseries and 4x AA, 16x AF = stable 85fps on Pentium D.
By the way, back on topic @ Tazer: Have you turned off your computer in a not usual way on Tuesday? (i.e.: remove the plug, hold the "turn off" button for a few seconds instead of waiting Windows shut down, turn off the stabilizer, turning off the PSU, etc).
Try running CHKDSK on your disc and see if it finds any errors.
