Quote from dadge :check post #25. a diagram is much easier to understand than an explination.

Clearly you don't understand how VGA works.

Vsync has nothing to do with interlacing. And Vsync has nothing to do with sports on TV, since a 1080i camera is outputting 60fps (fields per second, not frames per second) no matter what.

Low frequencies will damage tweeters pretty quickly. A first-order high pass filter is pretty simple to make. Blocking high frequencies from the midbass drivers isn't as important, but still is something that should be done. You can get passive crossovers anywhere, the only problem is that you don't know the RMS power rating of the individual drivers. The crossover that normally comes with those speakers may reduce the amount of power going to the tweeter, as it is unlikely that the tweeter has as high power handling as the midbass driver.

red = digital
grey = Analog
i prefere Analog. same with radio. same with music media (vinyl over CD). same with game controllers.

I don't see how that's relevant to this discussion. Computers are digital machines, not analog. If your computer is set to 32bit color, you're going to get the same information whether you use VGA or a digital interface. Digital just uses less power, and reduces interference.

Why is it incredibly difficult to turn the steering wheel in a stopped vehicle, but easy when the vehicle is moving?

Sleep paralysis used to happen to me alot. It hasn't happened to me for a while, but I wouldn't mind if it did happen again. It's quite peaceful in my opinion. Sleep paralysis doesn't even last that long, usually a matter of seconds. It just feels like forever. What I have been trying for a while is to induce sleep paralysis without falling asleep. Haven't been able to do so yet, unfortunately.

I would disagree. The conditions of racetracks can change incredibly easily. Professional drivers can just adapt well to changes. For example, a car starts leaking a bit of oil, someone goes off the track and gets dirt or gravel on the track when they get back on, the track heats up from the sun, and so on and so forth.

I would say the best way would be to write the index of each order on the box. Then, keep a tally of how many packages have been dispatched. At the end of the day, compare the tally of dispatched packages, and the index of the last box. If the number of the last box is, 25, and the tally of dispatched packages is 23, then you know that there's two non-dispatched packages. So if you're flipping through the invoices, and you only find one non-dispatched package, then you know that you accidentally flipped past one of them.

On level ground at a constant speed, weight does not have a very big effect on fuel economy. Depending on the coefficient of rolling resistance, of course. Not too long ago, I went on a road trip with 800lbs of people and stuff in my car (fat Americans xD), and averaged 33mpg US (~40mpg Imperial). I was picking up a few friends who were on vacation, so the way down there it was only me and a friend that I was splitting the driving with. The way down without all that weight, we also averaged 33mpg. In the city, more weight will hurt your fuel economy (If you insist on accelerating at the same rate as with less weight). Though, if you have enough weight it'll increase the force of rolling resistance to a noticeable degree, of course, since Frr=Crr x FN

Now, in my case, my fuel tank is about 12 US Gallons. The density of petrol is about 6.073 lb/US gal. 6 US Gallons of fuel would only weigh 36lbs. Not enough to have a huge affect on fuel economy on the highway. And probably not in the city either.

Quote from Forbin :4 hours for me.

I hear Summit Main is getting repaved again this year. I haven't been on it yet, but I saw it in person and in videos, and it looks really bad.

The Shenandoah circuit opposite Main is fun too. I have an onboard video of it that I recorded if you want to see it.

I just wish I had a car that would actually be worth driving on a track. My current car is a beat up Saturn with an autotragic transmission. (Beat up meaning it's been crashed into a guardrail, jumped over hills, driven at 65mph on gravel, etc.)

Cool, I didn't know that Summit Point was that close to me. Also, no google street view on the track? That sucks.

Quote from mrodgers :Oh, and wheel4hummer, you think you could pick a straighter road than that? Interstate 80 through PA looks more twisty than that.

Well I guess looks can be deceiving. If I go out and but a SD card for my shit digital camera, and devise some way of making a mount to put it on my dash (I may mount it to my bumper instead, or something) I'll make a video for you.

The LFS Forum is not a medical clinic, and even if anyone on here were a doctor, they would not be able to do tests across the internet. To be honest, it's a fairly bad idea to come to the LFS Forum, or any forum for that matter, with a health issue. You could end up getting scared and think that you're going to die, when there is a minor problem. But, even worse, you could end up thinking something is minor when it is a major disease or condition that needs to be treated as soon as possible. You should go to your doctor who is trained to do doctor stuff, and who can actually perform blood tests, etc.

I built a computer for my parent's the other day. It has an mATX Asus motherboard, Intel E3200 processor, 2GB of memory, and some off-brand 9400GT (Zotac is the brand, never heard of it before). It runs fairly cool, total costs including Windows 7 was $428USD, so that's 282GBP I suppose, except the prices of the parts may of course be different according to region.

I haven't tested it in LFS, but in Rigs of Rods I get ~70fps at 1024x768 resoultion and 4x anti-aliasing. Sometimes dips down to about 28fps in some circumstances. I didn't build it for games, my parents just needed a new computer to replace their aged Pentium 4 Dell.
