Quote from DeadWolfBones :Don't worry, it's not mine. It's just for a review I'll be writing.

Well, atleast you still get some hands on action.

Quote from spankmeyer :A wild box appears.

You can also try downloading the replay of the current world record lap. That might help you understand where you're losing time and where you need to improve.

Here's a link:
http://www.lfsworld.net/get_spr.php?file=60476

In case you don't know, just put the file in the "Live For Speed\data\spr" directory.

I am utterly sorry for the poor driving and lack of sportsmanship of car 151. I would like to apologize on the behalf of SAVAGE SimSports. Sorry to all the drivers affected by this. I guarantee that this will not happen again.

Quote from M.M.L. :I want to get a response from developers the approximate date.
All we have see is that in progress report that they wish happy new year. I wonder if is Scawen finished 40% of S3 or less...? Maybe he can answer to that.

In 2011 we see a "blast from the past" and 06B version... Nothing too much. When that happened I was excited for 20days... Today only on cruising and/or few more servers drive open config...

Few people try to revive S2 so they decided to donate S1 or S2 to demo drivers... It is good idea, but without S3 its nothing. I will not drive LFS anymore as a form of protest. I know that you dont care about it, but do you remember this "We are pleased to announce that we plan to release the new VW Scirocco in Live for Speed during the week ending Friday 19th December." 2008. Then "to give you a good patch early in 2009." - nothing from that promise

Then "We are pleased to announce that a new tyre physics model is currently in the testing and refinement stage." - also 2009.

So I am sorry, but I dont want more lies. I want answer when? Not in day correct, but just tell as in which month or year we can expect something?
People are leaving because you dont give any info about progress

In case you didn't realize it, people have been complaining about this for several years now. And whining about it is obviously not going to help.

GT3 + LRF does not sound like a great idea. The LRF class is almost faster than a GT3 on a straight line.

Quote from DeadWolfBones :I briefly owned the new VR version. I bought it used in LN condition for $600 and sold it for $850 a week later. It's razor sharp, but big and heavy.

If you don't need the VR, there are a lot of cheaper/lighter versions like the Tamron 90/2.8, Sigma 105/2.8, older manual focus Nikkors, and other legendary MF macros like the Tokina 90/2.5 and the Kiron/Vivitar/Lester A. Dine 105/2.8.

The sheer size and weight probably won't bother me too much. I was lucky enough to use a 24-70 2.8 a while ago and I never felt like I reached the point were I got tired to carrying it, even though I was using it for around 6 hours straight. I guess I can also thank my RS-7 strap for that.

My main concern is that it will be too narrow, cus I'm still on a DX body (D7000), so I guess the focal length be ~155mm in theory, if I'm not mistaken.

The VR is not too crucial for me either, so I will definetely look into some of the alternatives you recommended. I guess I'll have to see if I can borrow the 105/2.8 somewhere too before I decide on anything.

Quote from DeadWolfBones :It's also really cheap. I highly recommend it.

Mine was $90 used in EX condition.

Wow, that was cheap. I might see if I can pick one of those up here in DK. I've been considering getting the Nikon 105/2.8 Micro too. You wouldn't happen to have any experience with that one, would you?

Quote from DeadWolfBones :It's a macro lens, so it's got pretty minimal distortion by default. No correction done by me (though I did fix up some vignetting).

Cheers, mate.

Did you use lens correction or anything similar on the elevators shot, Ben? Or is the lens just free of any visible distortion?

Nice shots once again.

We are happy to announce the arrival of our two newest members, Jaroslav “Fast Jarda” Dohnalík and Martin “Flame CZE” Kapal. They both hail from the Czech Republic and has been racing together for several years during their stay at their former team of Angel Power Racing. With APR suffering from inactivity, both Jaroslav and Martin decided that it was time to find a new home.

Jaroslav is 18 years old and lives in the heart of the Czech Republic, Prague. Currently he is studying at a high school with economics in mind. Besides sim-racing, Jaroslav also enjoys watching all sorts of different sports. A few words from himself on joining the team:

“- I am really happy for accepting the deal. After three years in APR it’s a good change and new motivation to keep on racing.”

Martin is 19 years old and lives in a small town called Králův Dvůr, not too far from Prague. He is currently in grammar school and in his spare time he likes to design websites and skins. He also spends a lot of his time being a moderator on our beloved LFS forum. Here’s what Martin had to say after joining the team:

“- I began my true LFS career in December 2007, when I bought an S2 licence, although already being a long time demo racer. Since then, I’ve been in two Czech teams – GRAND and Angel Power Racing – and participated in quite a lot of various leagues and events. But recently I’ve been thinking about a change and trying something new and I hope that SAVAGE SimSports was a good choice!”

We are happy to have picked up our first ever Czech drivers. We would like to welcome both of you to the team and we are looking forward to spending more time with you, both on and off the track.
