Nothing? He (and the team) broke the rules. The only way to deal with this is to give all three drivers 10 place penalties. If Hamilton wasn't involved there wouldn't be any question about the penalties, they would just happen.

I always like the way these investigation come out always just before the race weekend, some of you must think do they do it to make the drivers more nervous and put more pressure on them. I doubt there will be any penalty anway and plus LH never seems to be bothered about these investigations, he just get on with it and does his job.

Guys keep your fingers crossed that Lewis Hamilton will win the title.

Nah, he was talking about the way the rest of the drivers criticised him for the accident behind the safety car (which - however you slice it - was Vettel's fault). He seems to be having a hard time dealing with all the attitude he gets from the other drivers.

I'm not a Hamilton fan at all, he's a bit too McLaren for my liking. If he moves to Williams and starts drinking and smoking then maybe I'll like him more.

I was saying that, I don't think all this bickering about LH is right, he is a rookie and a very good one at that, I wouldn't class him as a rookie as he can beat the best in F1 and the World Champion. I think because LH is a rookie and beating the people who have been a F1 driver for a while, people want to make a bad name for him and the papers and media want to put pressure on him. I think people should take it that a British driver is a very good F1 Driver and a rookie is beating the rest of the F1 Drivers.

It still is friday lol and it is just before the race weekend, I am not speaking just about the race on sunday but the qualifying so basically it is a race weekend. Racing for pole on saturday and the win in this occasion the title.

It does nearly happen every 2 weeks though.

these ones aren't really open to interpretation either. A 10 place penalty would be way to harsh consider changing an engine change, blocking, and brake testing all incur that kind of penalty. I doubt the FIAlonso with go that far.

Hamilton looked very strong today. I don't think he's going to hold anything back this weekend unless Alonso somehow manages to get in front of him.

I'm not really sure that's the sensible approach. The rule in this case is black and white. Adding in a grey area where you break the rule but don't gain advantage makes the stewards' decision subjective rather than objective, and that opens up a can of worms regarding bias and 'race fixing'.

The team knew the rule, they broke the rule (gaining advantage or not) and so they deserve punishment.

I'm glad that it has been left down to the racing, although I do agree that the FIA needs to spell out punishments for all these infringements.

I suspect McLaren deliberately kept Hamilton out in China, given that Bernie has Ron Dennis over the whole McFerrari business and would have probably made it clear to him that he wanted the championship to go down to the wire. Maybe this recent 'mistake' over guess what? Tires on Hamilton's car, was made on purpose as well to give Bernie the option of dropping Hamilton down the grid should he have seen it fit to make better TV.

Personally I can only see two outcomes of this race, either Hamilton wins fair and square or Alonso and Hamilton have a coming together and Rakionen takes it. After all everyone knows Alonso would far rather be beaten by Kimi than a rookie in the same car, who he thought at the beginning of the year would be the number 2
