All drivers entered to the 2025 E-Challenge are automatically assumed to be attending every round, so a proactive "yes" confirmation is not required this season.

Drivers must provide a "no" if they cannot make a round, or they risk being dropped from the series entry list, and will have to re-enter.

Because we understand that things come up last minute, we give some extra time to tell us the "no" - if you will miss or do miss the round you have until 23:59 UTC on Monday, 24 February 2025 before entry list purge processing takes place.

Race Day passwords should have been sent to all competitors. If you have not recieved it, please ask Jonathon.provost AND dekojester

Date: Sunday 2 February at 20:00 CET / 19:00 UTC
Track: WE1X - Westhill Custom Rallycross

Welcome to Round 5 of the 2024 MRc RX Championship.

The event will start with a 20-minute free practice session. All drivers wishing to take part in the day's rally MUST take a lap during this session to be added to the attendance list. Failure to do so, will result in you being prohibited from taking part in the round. For the avoidance of doubt, one time of your lapcount going from 1 to 2 will add you to the entry list.

Please use the Free Practice to get familiar with your selected car and the layout.

At the end of free practice, once you've taken the chequered flag, please return to the servicing area.

Qualifying heats (1-3) will be run without wind and will be 3 laps.

Heat Race Gridding:
Heat 1 will be a random draw of entered competitors.
Heat 2 will use your Heat 1 RACE time.
Heat 3 will use your COMBINED Heat 1 and Heat 2 RACE times.

Each run in a heat will be gridded so to have not more than 5, nor less than 3 racers. Heats 2 and 3, are gridded slowest to fastest - slower cars run first, faster cars in the last heat runs.

After all three heats are completed, the BEST TWO OF THREE Heat RACE times for a driver will be added. Ordered fastest to slowest, the top 16 advance to the Finals.

Automatic Assignments:
1-5 to A-Final
6-10 to B-Final
11-16 to C-Final

WINNER of C-Final advances to B-Final.
WINNER of B-Final advances to A-Final.

All finals runs will be with random wind and will be 4 laps.

Official Classification:
You are classified based on your highest completed final.

1-6: A-Final
7-11: B-Final
12-16: C-Final

If you are disqualified from a final, you will be placed at the bottom of that final, and still earn points for that position.

If you do not advance to the finals, you are not classified for the championship.

There will be no pitstop/reset available during the race, nor will there be no mid-race join, if a car flips and is stuck on his roof, the car will spectate within 5s, this so others don’t crash into the wreck.

Straight Acceleration Zone:
On race start you are required to stay within the white lines either side of your grid spot. Once you have exited that lane, you can change your line.

TeamSpeak:
We have decided to require TeamSpeak attendance for the rallies, for effective communication. For future seasons, you will be prohibited from attending if you're not in TeamSpeak to at least listen, but for this round, we will give some grace. As always with NDR events, you will need to have the ability to LISTEN, talk is not required. We will create team channels on request - PM me here on LFS forums, or on Discord to get a team channel made.

We use TeamSpeak 3, get the client here if you need it, our server address is teamspeak.newdimensionracing.com

Something for the "nice to have", not needed urgently, but a way to have an example/tooltip for a field, to give an example of what we want for some fields.

Thanks for the work on it!

MRc E-Challenge 2025 - Announcement

Hello racers!

The E-Challenge is back for it's 5th season!

Michal Malek (michal 1279) persists in being the man with the grand plan, and we at NDR are happy to partner with him and Sim Broadcasts to bring you another season of the LFS version of Formula E!

The E-Challenger EVO mod will be used once again, and will still be restricted in races to 301 kW of power, but you'll be at full 350 kW in Qualifying and the Qualifying duels. As with the last season, we are making Race 1 a Sprint race, where energy conservation is not the name of the game, we will see what you can do without having to worry about making your batteries last the length of the run. To further spice things up, the All Wheel Drive (AWD) version of the E-Challenger EVO will be up for grabs in the sprint race, as well as the first part of qualifying. The Feature Race will remain the standard stretch the batteries to go the distance.

It worked so well last year that we are using the live settable Player Handicaps that were added to the sim after the 2023 season to on-the-fly give you the Attack Boost, the same way it's been done before in Formula E. You will have a target zone to drive through to activate Attack Boost, which will give you 4 minutes of full 350 kW power. You'll get one activation in the sprint and two of these activations in the feature race session.

The experimental weather system remains the same, and is unchanged. You will be given a weather forecast ahead of each round, and then wait to see if we're any better at predicting the weather than the real meterologists you listen to for your weather.

All races will be streamed live by our good friends at Sim Broadcasts

Scawen,

Thanks for these changes, I think what you've done now is a great help.

Not sure how the system is storing numbers, but also if you need any help with the code, I might be able to help with some if needed.

Manual open and close of entries is fine for now - it's no different than we've done the lsat few years on our events.

Once I've used it a bit, I'll make some notes, and save them for springtime. Keep up the great work Scawen, I appreciate all you're doing
