2. Communications:
All drivers are required to be in the NDR TeamSpeak server: teamspeak.newdimensionracing.com - Race Control messages will be broadcast to anyone in a channel in the Pit Wall in TS. If you would like a subchannel for your team or friendly drivers, please let us know and we will create one. Make sure you have your race number and/or your LFS username as your nickname on TeamSpeak
They will be in the NDR TeamSpeak. You are invited to be interviewed on stream during the breaks between sessions. Please follow their terms listed at https://simbroadcasts.tv/voice - we will apply those to our Commentary Box area.

The car number must be in white. Your name may be in colour.
5. Virtual Safety Car Test
Should time permit, there will be a test Virtual Safety Car deployment in the free practice session, starting approximately 5 minutes remaining in the session. All drivers are encouraged to participate in this test.
6. Pit Entry and Pit Exit
On pit entry, all parts of the car must be to the left of the blend line along its entire length, and must use the entry apron at all times.
On pit exit, all parts of the car must be to the left of the blend line along its entire length, and must use the exit apron at all times.
All drivers leaving a pit start position (garage bay) must join the pitlane at the break in the wall at the last paddock access gate. Do not go straight to the pit exit without doing the right-left switchback into the pitlane. Cars in the pitlane have right of way over cars coming out of the garages at all times.
7. Track Limits
On the oval section, drivers are permitted to drive below the white line - the grass edge is the track edge on the oval.
All other sectors, the standard track limits apply, the marked course and it's blue/white kerbing.
8. Qualifying Procedure
Qualifying will be set to 22 minutes, with the pit exit closed for the first two minutes. The fast lane will be closed until declared open by the race director, at which time drivers may queue at pit exit in single file. The course will open for laps with 20 minutes remaining, and remain open until the time has elapsed. The pit exit will close at the chequered flag. No driver should exit the pitlane without sufficient time to start a timed lap.
Qualifying is run in Semi-Hardcore mode. This means drivers are only permitted to Shift+S or Shift+P from within the pit lane itself. Any driver spectating outside of the pit lane will not be allowed to rejoin the session.
9. Race Start:
The race will have one unscored formation lap, followed by a double-file rolling start.
Note: the grid will be in the pit lane at 45 degrees, drivers are to leave this location in single file behind the safety car.
During griding, the pole sitter will be asked what side of of the grid they would like to start from. All other drivers should file in accordingly.
On the exit of Turn 8 (Tarzan), the safety car will reduce speed. All drivers should get into double file formation after Turn 10 (Gretton Hairpin). The safety car will pull off just before the start of the pit lane wall. The leader and all other drivers should maintain a steady speed up until the green flag signal is given, at which point overtaking is permitted.
In the event of an aborted start, drivers should maintain pace until Turn 1, and then return to single-file formation for another attempt. The race director will then instruct drivers if there are any changes to this.
For the avoidance of doubt, the race timer of 1 hour 45 mintues will start at the conclusion of the formation lap - terminated by either the green flag, or an aborted start.
The race clock will run during all flag conditions with the except of red flag.
9. Safety Car:
On Restarts, the Safety Car will pull away from the field after Turn 7 (where possible). It must not be overtaken before it crosses the 1st Safety Car line.
Overtaking is not permitted on SC restarts until YOU have crossed the start-finish line.
The race director has the discretion to operate a safety car wave around procedure as documented in the regulations.
10. End of Race
After finishing the race, please slow WELL BELOW racing speeds after Turn 1 and proceed back to the pit lane. The top 3 shall report to the start/finish line.
Top three and anyone else wishing to be interviewed on the broadcast should join the Commentary Box Waiting Room, and one of the commentators will move you to the Commentary Box.
11. Miscellany:
Do NOT under any circumstances Shift+P or Shift+S from on course during the race without authorization from Race Control.
You do NOT need permission to retire once you are in the pit lane.
If you suffer a lost connection or timeout from the server, you are permitted to rejoin the race, and we will add your completed laps to your car once you've rejoined.
Stop & Go penalties may ONLY be taken from the penalty box located at the location noted above.
Please post any procedural questions in this thread.
Pre-Qualifying
The top 10 drivers in the Drivers Championship are locked in to Round 2 of the season. All other drivers must take at least one timed lap in Pre-Qualifying in order to be able to partake in Round 1.
Pre-Qualifying starts at 13:00 UTC on 16 February 2024, and runs for 48 hours.
The following drivers are locked in to the round:
Vytautas Laguckas (Excellent15)
Isaac Price (IsaacPrice)
Gábor Gyüre (Viperakecske)
Joni Katila (jsrk)
Mantas Smalkevicius (yzex)
Marcelo Neiva (bacabinha)
Pauli Peltokangas (Botswanan Salama)
Darius Veržinskas (Pathseeker)
Niko Puntola (nikopdr)
Borislav Botev (BorislavB)
It will take place in the NDR.Pre-Qualifying server. 28 cars will make it into the round on Sunday, we ask the first three drivers outside the top 28 to be ready to jump in last minute, if necessary.
Drivers may take as many laps as they want. Drafting is permitted, bump-drafting is not. Drivers should not impede other drivers at any time.
Confirmations
All drivers are assumed to be planning to attend a round by way of their entry to the series. For Round 2, we ask that Top 10 drivers post a yes/no if they plan to race, otherwise please only confirm in this thread if you are NOT able to race. You have until 06:00 on Tuesday, 20 February 2024 to tell us a no. Please use the following format, replacing the car number and username with your own:
no/99/dekojester
If you do not state a "no" here, and do not attend pre-qualifying, you will be removed from the series entry list, and will have to enter again for Round 3.
Car Declarations
You are allowed to test all cars and use all cars during Pre-Qualifying - we will use your declared car laptime to make the Pre-Qualifying result.
IF you raced or pre-qualified with a declared car for Round 1, you are locked to that car choice, and do not need to choose again.
You must declare your car choice by 13:05 UTC on 18 February 2024.
To declare your car: post it here with your car number and username (separate line from a "no" confirmation). Example:
Pre-Qualifying results got updated post-race. It was discovered that a few drivers did not have their laptimes logged by Airio for being too slow. They have been found and added to the result. Drivers who pre-qualified but did not declare their car choice, are listed, but not classified.
The 5 point per round participation bonus is awared to all drivers who pre-qualified and had their car declared in time. The participation bonus will continue to be awarded in this manner all season.
The entries quoted above have been purged from the entry list due to failure to participate in any way in Round 1 of the GT2 Challenge 2024.
If one of these drivers wishes to re enter the series, they must quote their original entry, and note that they wish to re-enter the series, and must make sure their number is still available, else will have to select a new number.
These car numbers are hereby freed for use in the series.
Entry List has been updated, entries marked in grey are ones at threat of removal if they do not respond to the confirmations thread with a "no" if they did not attend the round.
You have until 23:59 UTC on Monday, 5 February 2024 to apply a "no" confirmation in this thread, or you will be dropped from the entry list, and have to reenter.
