18:00 UTC: Qualifying - 20 minutes
18:30 UTC: Race Start - 70 laps

Event Specifiics

Race:

1. Alerting the Administration: Use @sc to alert administration to look at your car or the section of track you were in when you use the @sc command. The command will tell the administration what location you're at.

2. Start and Safety Cars: Safety Car will lead the field through 1 formation lap. It will lead the field all the way to the pit entry. After Turn 5, the field needs to form into double file, the leader maintaining pitlane speed (with a 10 kph / 6 mph variance allowed). This speed MUST be maintained from that point until the GREEN FLAG. Overtaking is permitted as soon as the green is flown on the race start only.

On Restarts, the Safety Car will pull away from the field after Turn 3. It must not be overtaken before it crosses the 1st Safety Car line.

3. Wind Conditions: No wind!

4. Blue Flag Behaviour: This circuit is tight and short. Please remember that if you are being shown the blue flag, you need to keep a consistent pace and line, and not fight the faster car. The faster car must remember it is still their job to overtake the flagged car safely.

5. Communications: We will be available in the NDR TeamSpeak server: teamspeak.newdimensionracing.com - Race Control messages will be broadcast to anyone in a channel in the Pit Wall in TS. If you would like a subchannel for your team or friendly drivers, please let us know and we will create one.

6. Driver Naming: Be sure to be in your proper name format Number (grey or white), space, then First initial last name [eg. 00 J. Palmer]. The name must be in GREY or WHITE.

7. Tracker: Timing will be available and running on http://tracker.newdimensionracing.com.

8. Miscellany: Do NOT under any circumstances Shift+P or Shift+S during the race without authorization from Race Control.

After finishing the race, please slow WELL BELOW racing speeds after Turn 1 and proceed around into pit lane. A Parc Ferme area will be created before all the pit stalls begin.. The top 3 shall report back to Start / Finish Line for podium pose.

Top three and anyone else wishing to be interviewed on the broadcast should move to the Commentary Box Waiting Room, and one of the commentators will move you to the Commentary Box.

This race, as will all of them, be broadcasted by simbroadcasting : https://twitch.tv/simbroadcasts

Please post any procedural questions in this thread.

Good luck!

GT2 Challenge 2020 - Skins

Per the regulations, you are required to run a skin with elements that we provide. For this season, we are providing a sunstrip as an overlay (2048 square), and a numberboard as a PSD file. Please overlay the sunstrip on your livery, and place the numberboard on the following locations:
  • Both sides of car, anywhere between the front and rear wheels
  • On hood
Remember that your number plate (set in your game options) must carry your team name or tag. If you are not representing a team, you may leave it blank.

The series logo and the NDR logo are provided for your convenience in the pack.

The Univia Pro font on the numberboard is part of Adobe Cloud - you may substitute that font for any other similar sans serif font if you do not have access to Adobe Fonts

Please post your skins by 16:00 UTC on the Friday prior to the round, so we can generate a skinpack and a spotting board.

New Dimension Racing make its return to league racing in Live for Speed with a short GT2 Challenge series! Don't worry, this won't be the only thing we're working on, this is just a welcome back and an appetite whetting! Come knock off the cobwebs with us!

The series will use GT2 cars, with a short four meeting campaign. This is a brand new property to New Dimension Racing, so one driver will be the first GT2 Challenge Champion!

Full details available within the next 24 hours, but some highlights:

- Races scheduled to be approximately 75 minutes in duration - can you make the distance or will you need to pit?

- Safety Cars will be in use. We'll also begin using Virtual Safety Cars - keep your speed under a designated speed and we'll get the situation cleared and get you back to racing as soon as possible!

- If no more than 38 cars per class are entered, no pre-qualifying system will be used. All entrants will be allowed to attempt qualifying. If we have more than 38, the fastest will get to race round 1, and the top 10 in points following will get to breeze into qualifying, and the rest get to pre-qualify for the remaining 28 spots.

Every race will be broadcasted live by Sim Broadcasts: https://simbroadcasts.tv

Entries are driver-based, Signup Here!

We hope you join us!

My sincerest apologies for this delay in uploading the server side replays, every dang time I tried to finish this I got pulled away for other things unavoidable.

It looks a crap ton better than ANY other racing game/sim has had night lighting I've seen. It's a great start, and If we had a release date I'd already be planning on bringing up a 12 or 24 hour endurance race event or series with 6, 12, 24 hour races.

Of course, testing is needed to make sure there's no issues; but having the sky not change isn't an issue to me...if the light from the sun goes below the horizon like it really does, and perhaps even program in moon phase, that will bring the immersion. Westhill, Kyoto, Fern Bay would be largely pitch black with no nearby major town causing lighting pollution in the night sky to reflect back down, only lights installed at or near the track would give vision points. The lights already on the start tree is a good start for the flag lights...projecting the light output is a big issue I'm sure.

Great work so far, can't wait to see if this becomes a reality to us end users!
