Quote from matseracer :let me post some after effects of taking marijuana in large doses:

- you will get hooked
- you will have mental problems, such as memory loss, loss of focus / concentration, depression, and schizophrenia.
- you will have a shorter, harder life
- anxiety, paranoia

and also, take this into consideration - making a drug legal in drug addicted countries is like giving terrorists bombs. you're asking for trouble. there are all kinds of abusers, and smugglers out there that would take advantage of all this. sure, there are people who will use this drug wisely, but there are more people who won't.

schizophrenia - the illness where you have voices in your head telling you to do things. bad ones being taking illigal drugs, robbing, killing others and suicide

source - http://www.abovetheinfluence.com/facts/drugs-marijuana.aspx

You're kidding, right?

Even your obviously biased source says cannabis CAN cause said effects, it doesn't say it will as you imply.
And from my understanding cannabis doesn't really cause mental problems, it might provoke and strenghten them in already damaged mind/brain.

Just like any other substance, legal or not, cannabis doesn't suit everyone.

I had quite a lot more text here but ended up deleting it since what's the point? the internets is full of accurate knowledge of cannabis, in both it's good and bad qualities, for everyone genuinely interested to find and read.

And this forum does have a search function too. So explaining the most simpliest things to every new Jack, Tom and Harry who happened to find LFS would be just waste of someones time, over and over again.
That's why I usually just ignore such threads, but I do think "You're an idiot" reply every now and then is only a good thing. If even one person starts using his/her own brains thanks to that, it already makes this forum more intelligent place, at least a bit.

Quote from SamH :snip

The only thing we can safely assume is that S3, when it comes, will be purposefully priced to offer good value for money - one thing that is certainly a constant in LFS.

not being disrespective or anything, but with a moderators status, you shouldn't be making such an assumption of the value of still coming product.

In the end it's still the invidual consumer who makes the decision if the product the said consumer bought was value for his/hers money.

You might want to try something else than just oval racing, like turning to right for a change. and no, not talking about oval reversed.

And even if was only the oval that rows your boat, they really, like really do it in real life too. So why not in lfs?

Quote from Forbin :I think we had something similar when fuel consumption, tire heat, and tire wear were introduced. I do think there is a point where you can go to far (see NKPro's startup procedure) but for the most part, more complexity with the aim at greater realism is a good thing.

EDIT: Oh yeah, good point, hrtburnout. How could I forget clutch heat and the uproar over that.

the tire heat/wear etc came when s2 came, so porpably there wasn't too much of disagreeing those, specially against having them in the first place.

But if really adding realism to a sim alienated people, then adios - sim racing might not be for you.

doesn't change the fact that every race is about to be ruined by a wrecker until said wrecker leaves or admin comes in and bans him.

I'm just wondering what is actually that wrong with the setups, that makes them so unrealistic as some ppl here say.

I'd like to see one of these unrealistic with physics flaws taken advantage from setups everyone seems to be on.

I mean, I'm not mechanic, and barely understand the basics of making a setup, so I'm just asking what is so wrong with the 'fast sets'?

Quote from The Moose :Someone reported the same problem at RSC, Jonesy

Three thing were suggested, but the guy never replied as to whether he got it working

"I'm not sure I have the answer to this, but based on what you've told me, I know that sometimes, my wheel will shake while my car is just sitting in the garage. Perhaps its a graphics problem, where the loading screen isn't disappearing?

This is just a guess, but I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to check to see if you have the latest graphics drivers, or even directx?"

"Check if the "Fullscreen" is ticked in the "Video settings"

"Try setting 'USEOPENAL' to 0 in nkpro.inii (located in cfg folder).

It could be that your sound card is not supporting OpenAL."

Of all those replys a graphics problem of some sort would seem to be the obvious culprit. iirc when you install nKPro it prompts you to install directX and something else, did you install both of those options?

If none of those suggestions worked then i suggest you post in the Technical Advice thread at the RSC netkar pro forum, attaching the log.txt file (in the logs folder)

:smash3d: The solution was as simply as just updating the gfx drivers.
My bad and sorry for bothering!

I'm having a problem starting the actual game up.
After I've clicked the "race" to start a track day session, the game starts to load seemingly normally. But then the problems starts to occur. Firstly once the loading bar is almost complete (It sais it's loading cars/formula1600/shadow.nko) my wheel goes crazy with Violent shaking from left to right.
Now I know there should be a solution written on to this thread for that already. But the game never loads, all I have is the loading screen with some hints of audio in the background and my wheel trying to destroy my table.

I've tried to run it with different AA settings aswell with different resolutions all resulting in written above.

I'm trying to run the game with 8800GTS 320MB

Any tips to try out?
