Quote from THE WIZARD DK :...

compared to example germany. they have i think less than 12 accents. but population is triple Denmarks or more. it is highly unusual such a small country has this many accents. i actually think we got more accents than usa too.

...

Not entirely true. There are some main accents or dialects, but in those there are slight differences. If you are local to a region with an specific dialect, you will start to notice small bits here and there which are pronounced differently and are mostly able to tell where someone is from. But maybe that's the same in every country world wide?

But I agree that an majority of danes are able to speak fluently in english with you. I've experienced that for myself, while on vacation in Copenhagen.

Quote from TROLDMANDEN :Hi.
i have seen images of night driving but im still not entirely sure of how will headlights work for AI´s?
im thinking best choice solution is an on/off button outside each AI?
or will it automatically turn on at some time of day?
or will it turn on when light comes to a certain degree ?
command maybe?
i use AI alot, so im very curious to know about this.
thank you.

I guess as LFS now has an exposure value for the lighting system it won't be that hard to connect this to an light on/off function for the AI

In January it will be 17 years on this forum, not counting the time on Race Sim Central and the days before S1.

Quote from FreeScirocco :unburned fuel is a waste of energy so it can not be a "finely tuned" race car ever. You don't see fire out of an exhaust of a F1 car do you? It's because it's a waste of energy.

Finding the right fuel mixture in every situation of the power band is a very precise task. It's called fuel mapping. If you manage to have the correct fuel map for the entire rpm band then you get the most out of the engine. And.. Hench.. It's then tuned to the finest. I say it again; fuel in an exhaust is a waste and an indication something is wrong with the fuel map.

Well...

Quote from Flotch :I like the Gallardo : as crap/good to drive as I was expecting Big grin . Quite bad feeling under braking and corner entry, but then the awd system is helping you to put the pedal to the floor on corner exit. Same feeling as for the R8 and GTR, this make me enjoy even more the 458 when I take it just after Big grin
I took briefly the Lotus 25 ... but GP Legends memories make me to not appreciate it so much ... do not know what I was expecting, but I did not find it to my taste ...
Brands Hatch is very nice at first sight. Quite narrow and not so easy to find the correct lines with lots of elevation changes. Smile I will have to learn !!

You should try the Ford Escort at Brands Hatch GP.

This combo is just a blast to drive. Throw the car into most of the corners, hold your wheel straight, dictate the direction with the gas pedal and open the tap with a bit of opposite lock on corner exit.

Whatever they did in the last patch, the feel for the car is completely gone.

I quite like the Quattro.

I guess is drives like it should drive: Like a slapped together homologation platform with an early all wheel drive system, that still has massive flaws.

If they kept the physics from the previous 2 Dirt titles, it's a very nice handling semi-sim which is fun to play with a gamepad.

What I really liked about the previous 2 titles, handling wise, is that you don't get annoyed by the handling, which is the case with most of the other arcade or semi-sim games out there.

I hope you understand what I mean Smile

Quote from Hyperactive :Oscillations of ffb can be an ffb filter issue. If your ffb filter is too high it basically starts cutting low frequency ffb signals which means you get these huge left right oscillations when going through turns. Too low and you get random oscillations, vibrations all the time. The filter is basically a low pass filter. The higher you set it the less ffb signals get through. Basically higher setting = low pass filter cutoff is at lower frequency and only signals with lower frequency get through.

First you lose small pebbles on the road and random shaking. Then you lose bumps. And after a while you lose the body movement too. So it is basically like a zombie virus. At 0% filter you basically get a car that feels like a zombie from the movie 28 days later. Super aggressive, outruns an average family sedan, straight to the jugular. At high filter you get more of the resident evil type slow lumbering ffb. After you go past certain limit you are into the blob territory. Big mushy movements of the wheel only responding to the sun and moon gravity.

This description acutally made me laugh Big grin

Quote from sendewael :This has nothing to do with the rotation limit of the wheel.
Does somebody know how to fix it ? it's still locked at 720°

Did you try that?

In your case that would be button 1+2 and X, just take a look at the picture in the thread.
