lfsdb.net redirects to lfsdatabase.eu, this may mean they are working together... (or not)
I personally applaud any initiative regarding the improvement of lfs experience by the community. I think Bose's intention was grat, and he did a very nice job, but if someone wants to improve it, i see nothing wrong about that!
Now what is beyond me is how people criticize some user's initiatives to do something for the community...
birder: this has nothing to do with you. Is praise-worthy what you have been doing by supporting the existing lfs database. Is just something i sometimes notice.
Have you seen any post from me ranting another user?! (Like you are doing now) - You just posted with the purpose of bashing another user...
Just point where my argument (about time elapsed after the announcement of scirocco) misses logic. I was stating a fact, wasn't I?
- Do not assume that I am whining or complainting about it. That is a fact, and so it can be pointed without any second intention. JEEEEZZZZZ!!!
That is exactly what I ment when I wrote the other post: someone just asked a question and in the way mentioned "vob mods", then someone answered the actual question without making any allusion to the vob mods...
Well, in LFS time, "very distant future" would mean at least about 50 (yes, fifty) years, since "early next year" (said when in the end of the previous) [isn't this a little confusing ] means at best 2 to 3 years...
Jesus, slow down with your replies, so I can read them all...
Maybe if I start a thread with some interesting subject like "THE FUTURE OF LFS", or "GIVE LFS SOME OXYGEN SO IT WON'T DIE" people would feel compelled to participate (by bashing).
I used to drive with the Kegety's MomoLeds, witch worked just fine... until the last patch.
Is not possible to use the cockpit shift light (or steering wheel, because i drive mostly the single seaters) because it is too small and just not call for my attention.
The virtual dashboard even worst! Is stays in the bottom left corner of the screen and you better look ahead (especially when driving the BF1) Plus the fact that the shift light on this virtual dashboard is "shift up" written in arial 6 with almost no contrast...
I've looked and I know that used to be some "virtual gauges" but those addons don't work anymore...
So is there any addon, or any way do display a shift light either on the screen (on a choosed location) or making an output to my red momo (just like Kegety's momoleds)?
If you like the way lfs feels when driving, you will love driving the S2 cars and tracks.
Is a no risk situation, because (and correct me if I'm wrong) if you don't like what you get, you have a 14 day period for "returns".
At least the law says you do when purchasing something online - don't know if it applies to software programs though... (or if the stall complies with that)
The suggestion was not about removing from the driver the option to set pit strategy...
Just take as an example what happens in F1 (or any other racing), strategies are defined by the team leader, but if something happens during the race that needs to change the strategy, will definitly be easier for the manager to make fuel calculations (for example) to determine the additional number of stops and the fuel in each stop.
Making those calculations, and then adjusting it in the F12 menu is not somethig you want to do when having a close race or a dispute for a position (even less in the BF1).
I'm not sure if it has been suggested before, but I've read the list and didn't find it.
This would be important mostly for leagues.
The team manager should be able to define the pitstop (F12 menu)strategy for their drivers, so the drivers could be focused only on race.
Instead of drivers have to change the F12 values, the manager would have access to this menu, and would change the values himself, forx example when viewing his driver, he could just call the F12 menu and change the values according to the strategy of his choice.
I believe this could be implemented in a way like the actual possibility to change the car driver during endurance races (pairing drivers). Drivers would "pair up" with their team manager.
I looked trough the forum and couldn't find a solution, that is why i opened this thred...
I used to drive using "momoleds" from Kegety, but they don't work anymore, so i was wondering if someone could find a way to have a shift light again.
If it was possible to be using the momo leds it would be great, but an app just like "analogue gauges" by just emulating a shift light that we could move to the top of the screen, for instance, would be just fine.
If there is something already, just point me in the right direction...
I really can't understand all this hate thing... (not just this thread, but the forum in general)
If I think I don't have nothing to add to a thread, I just don't post!
That simple!
(then again those people must think they are adding something, and so it would be just immaturity)
