so i have to pass him safely but when i slow down like he has told others in there forums, that he has banned. for a wreck right in front of me its alright for him to go full throttle pass me go off in to the grass and wreck trying to rejoin the racing line. i didn't start a argument i asked him why he did that and kicked me for it. but like boothy said "When admins have a gripe with a racer and the racer disagrees then that's not an argument, but when there's a disagreement between a racer and admin or two racers, then that is an argument. Big fan of logic I see"
its all right though i won't be going back to ihr after hearing how they started by stealing some one else's server and sent some nasty emails around that destroyed a team. the admins are arrogant in the way they ban any one who doesn't want to bow down to them at every turn. cargames.nl is a much nicer place even with less people the racing is better, and admin is very cool. ihr will just be playing with them self soon enough
i liked your first post better lol, i was kicked because admin did something stupid if you ask me. if you check the ihr forum there are a few times were he banned other people for racing pass someone else wrecking and quotes of him saying instead of passing letting off and slowing down and letting the guy recover. but when im the guy recovering its alright to try and race pass me. but there fix is to reset my acc and all the points i made to get to class 2. that can make them feel like they were right but still allow me to go back racing. we really need someone else to start another multi class server, like cargame.nl with some good racing there.
i did that but after ihr admins standing behind one of there own and locking my thread when i made my point, thought i could expect the lfs forum to be a little more open about what goes on in its servers.
ty that has been my point from day one. if he slowed down like i did he would have been just as fast though the turn and kept the class 1 lead, instead made a inexperienced move to pass and ended up on the grass and out of line for the next turn where he made contact on me.
for some of us with i7's can we have ai on a few cores, physics on another, rendering handled by another core, and then maybe like the rain or light effects on other core.
+1 on the no more huge hits like you use to see at times
as for the server jon send me a pm and i will give you a remote desktop connection to a vm im running to host the server on, its running with hardware supported vm so it will be like logging in to a normal computer speed wise but its a vm so you can have full access to the box.
and the g25 scrip uses the paddles in bf1 not sure about the other 3 open wheels or if there sequential on the stick.
so its like xrt xrg and the other "road" cars use the shifter in H mode.
xfr fxr mrt use the shifter in sequential mode.
bf1 uses the paddles in sequential mode.
what he is saying is people using there paddles in a car that is a stick shift and not a paddle shift like a rb4 but instead of using a h shifter they are using paddles so they can shift and never miss a shift.
there are scrips to set up a g25 shifter to use the right shift modes for each car that should be put hard coded in to the game so it is always like that. would make races more even.
Came to LFS forum, got excited and clicked the new patch URL.
Sad panda is sad, VWS w/out new tyre physics would be a treat for all before it gets boring w/the new physics, let us get bored of it with the old so when every cars new....
Make sense? Yes it does! Very much sense that it'd be a HUGE change in LFS, then the new tyre physics would be even more amazing whenever launched.
I'm tired and bored of all the current LFS cars, with new tyre phy they'd be nice because the handling is horribly unrealistic sometimes (XRT w/mouse I can HARDLY control, yet I can XRR no prob and XRG) people say mouse is faster, well I'm pretty damn good at mouse though I don't do real "racing" on LFS I find XRT just burns up tires, etc.
Oh and I'll post a new feature thingy.
WS.C sucks, bunch of kids so what big deal is that?
that coming from someone conpairing a gt car on street tires to a full gtr car on slicks duh there different. facepalm.jpg
Its not a Bug its a fail look at the name on the patch. Test Patch Z16 (online compatible) Its says Online Compatible and then can we use it online but we cant!
it is online compatible tho go back and try running lfs w on a host running x won't work. it may not be perfect yet so 1 grow up and act more mature and 2 help fix the bugs or don't run the latest beta.
@gotspeed: under the advanced nvidia controlpanel, I click setup multiple displays and it's the first section there. I have 5 options, including spanning horizontally or vertically.
i don't have any options in that view just the 2 monitors with check boxes and verify your display configuration with the 2 monitors and where there at.
Scawen, appreciate these mods, really do! but will there ever be a smoke update where its not so weedy!? maybe like the rfactor smoke?? dont get me wrong i prefer lfs (lol) but the smoke in rfactor is just kick ass!!! thanks mate love the patch!
You're implying Vista is more stable than XP? I agree though that SoftTH isn't very stable, v1.08 was awful for me in that regard, so I switched back to using v1.07, a shame, as v1.08 does improve frame rates.
Alternatively, buy a Matrox TripleHead2Go, upgrade your graphics card to an ATI 5800 series with EyeFinity support, or just buy an 8 megapixel monitor and run LFS in any window size you care to dream of.
morpha - apparently the EyeFinity tech gets round that, essentially brining back span to those who defected from XP to Vista/7.
the triple head2go is cost prohibitive for me at the moment.
Ah, did some research. Apparently MS introduced a new display management layer with Vista, preventing the driver from "faking" a display, which is essentially what spanning does. Unfortunately, Seven also comes with this stupid management layer. In other words, if you've got Vista or Seven, you cannot use spanning modes. You can only use modes supported by an actual physical display, it's no longer possible to create a virtual display device and let the graphics adapter, or its driver respectively, handle the output.
i had soth th working in vista tho. it worked it just sometimes the game would crash going from window to full screen or back the other way. is there any way to get lfs to work on 2 monitors full screen now?
other then having to fight with sothTH again to get the settings right
gotspeed, if you couldn't get LFS to display over both screen in patch Z or before, V16 changes nothing here. If you could get it to display, it will now display in a nicer manner. If you can't span, then you'll probably need SoftTH.
Widdowmaker - the old method is correct if you have your screens all aligned (i.e. to form one wide flat display). To use 3 viewports effectively you need to angle in your side screens, and by quite some amount.
i had sothTH and for a short time (week maybe) had it working but it was unstable even on vista.
Are you sure? My nvidia control panel has an option to span
Interface and external views should only appear on the main monitor.
Driving views should show another image on the side monitor.
its not. its only showing the 2 views on the one monitor. i have a gtx 295 and there is no option on nvida to span 2 displays like my old ati card did years ago.
one pic you can see my 2 displays 24inch 1920x1200 and a 19inch 1280x1024. both dvi. with windows 7 on a o/c i7 920 at 3.2 ghz
