Right now I'm listening to some stuff by Uriah Heep. I came across a song called "Hold Your Head Up" and I'm amazed because it sounds if you'd have stuck Genesis and The Police into a bulb and mixed them gently.
I've had the same wheel for some time. Malfunctions started early (did not keep the bill >.<) and increased with time. When I finally replaced it, there were multiple faults. For instance not touched all axis showed varying input, though maxing the physical axis out no full input was detected.
That's what I thought about when I read the OP. Sometimes in steering axis there was a very rough change in value (by false measure) which caused the car ingame to steer very hard in a very short amount of time. Together with FFB this could result in some kind of "shaking".
"Pretty nice"? ... "anyway"?! Come on. It's just a select/wush!/wheel blur/lens flare edit and every bit of it is done in a way it looks wrong.
Here are some tips if you want to spend a lot time on a picture:
For the wheels use radial blur and don't forget the tyre wall but make sure the brake calipers are not affected.
To imitate the overall movement rather take the radial blur too, but this time the warping one. Place the middle where the car goes/comes from, sometimes I widen my "canvas" for this effect so I can place the centre out of the actual picture.
For a clean outcome take two screenshots from the same position, the other one at a time the car has not yet arrived anywhere in the screen. Maybe you can think out the rest for yourself.
Last but not least take a look at the lens flare. Try to imagine where the headlight would shine to. If the "camera", the place you take the screenshot from, is within that place a lens flare looks realistic. Now if the car goes by, the flare would reduce to invisibility in real life because the headlight do not shine to the sides of the car, but ahead.
Both are awful. If you want to know why look at real pictures, you'll get the difference hopefully. You don't need to make an own thread for this and please don't post huge image tags here! You can delete your thread as long as nobody posted in it.
I just wanted to say you don't have to do this because it has already been done so you don't need to spend amount of time. If you want to do it again go ahead.
