It all comes down to personal taste but for me there are some details that should be common sense - skinning wise.
1. Aligned graphics make a much more professional impression. The design from the front could move on to the hood and fenders.
2. I am no fan of any kind of coloured exhaust pipes. They should look like what they are - metal.
3. You should try the GIMP. It is a free graphic program, in many ways similar to Adobe Photoshop I think. It will take a while to learn what you can do with all the different tools. Most things are done easier than in MS Paint and the quality of your skins will most likely improve drastically.
Just use your favorite search engine and look up "GIMP".
I've never noticed it because I find coloured rollcages to be bad looking but go to your LFS Viewer folder/map_info/XFR_info.jpg or any other of the GTR's.
I just checked it, only XFR and XRR have the missing map for the roll cage. With the updated interieurs they also got finer modeled roll cages with textures on them (holes and welding seams).
Brake calipers and the back of the car are blurred which makes it look weird and for my taste the lens flare is a bit overdone. Otherwise nice picture!
Though I'd not say it is illegal. It contains no modifications to the game thus being of no damage to the developers. I am pretty sure if it really was not allowed to be talked about or to be shown on screenshots at least the pictures or even the whole thread would have been deleted/locked.

Wow... Road cars on slicks... that'd be interesting. Is there any chance you could forward me to that tweak? I have never had one that would let you change tyres or engine layout other than for the demo cars.
