I guess it's much harder to find somebody to make you a private skin than to ask for a skin that can be released to the public.
I let you know that anybody giving this a try will appreciate und make use of pictures you link to here. Of course they should be as big as possible and should cover the car from as many angles as possible.
There's a tool called "smudge" in english. It looks like a pointing finger with which you would draw lines in the sand. You can smear things with it manually and you can adjust the size and "strength" of that brush.
I said "especially if..." but in general it just looks like a cheap bad boy's car with tinted windows, plus from inside you feel like sitting in a time machine outside it's 01:00pm but inside sun already set.^^
Tint is a no-go, too, especially if you live in a country where it is not allowed to tint any window needed for a 180° view so the result looks as stupid as this:
Hmm... a friends Aygo (1.0L 3 cylinder, 68 PS) did 150 km/h (93 mph) in third gear and finally topped out at ~170 km/h (105 mph) at nearly the same revs in fourth with still the fifth gear to go. So he couldn't even get to the limiter in fourth gear. Unfortunatly the car has no rev counter.
Also a strange limiter you got in that Lupo. My Santana 1.6 (with an engine that was basically constructed in the very early seventies) has it's rated peak power (Nennleistung) at 5600 rpm. I would have guessed a more modern engine with much lower capacity would rev at least as high.
It has been discussed many times and if you "read up a little" on these forums you would have found out. The problem is the game has no way to know where your hand is. The arm/hand could start to move only when you already shifted on your wheel, mouse or what ever and then it would take the animated driver some time until he has moved his hand to the gear lever to actually change the gear in the car. The time delay caused would not be appropriate for a simulation. The same goes for the pedals. The computer does not know where your right foot is if you neither apply throttle nor brake pressure.
.rar is an archive filetype. Search for "Winrar", a free program with which you will be able to unpack .zip and .rar files alongst many other archive files.
Don't know what that sig has to do with this issue. Even if he was the closest friend you have it would be even more important to get his permission. Not offering the skin is the right thing until you get an answer from C40Z. :thumb3d:
At the moment: People who call themselves skinners, yet - aware of skinners etiquette - admit braking the rules and in the same post show a preview of an edited-without-permission-version of someones skin.
