Quote from tadydrift :But my last public skin for this year will be the Formula Drift Skin pack, Bored of Stealers

I don't think I've ever seen you release any skin, all you do is spam the XRT skins thread with previews of private skins. :P

Oh and BTW you can edit your posts.

Well he wanted them. That was a year ago, it was his only forum post ever, he never logged in again and he never drove a single lap online. Now please let this thread RIP.

Nice bump just to be a jerk. Obviously the XRG is a Demo car and could use the same fake light mounts.

Looks much better with reflections. Wink

Also have you thought about using a different tyre.dds? Unfortunately I can't seem to find the one I'm using. Also not sure if the tread and tyre walls are saved in seperate files.

Edit: I think they were from Lynce's Revolution Pack, these download links work.

http://files.team-fortitude.net/the_revolution_pack/

If you download them from there there's a few options (brand new, dirty, used/worn) and the .rar files also include the originals. Not perfect but definitely better to look at than what you have now. :P

Don't think I've ever posted my current car before, so here it is.

Looked like this when I picked it up late '13, 44,000 km, 1.2i, bought it off an 89 y/o man who retired from driving, so it's generally in good shape but has many small cosmetic issues:

Already lowered it earlier last year and had to make a bit of room for the summmer wheels in the rear. Detected minor rust inside the guards and it needed some paint on the left outside guard too. Didn't finish the job then, but over the last couple of weeks I finally got around to take care of the rear wheel arches properly. Also gave the car a half-assed polish and wax (38°C...) before camping last weekend. Washed it down again yesterday and felt like it's a good time to take some shots before the damn thing is covered in Sahara sand, birch pollen and marten poo again...

My brother lenin out the window

45 hp, do I look like I can afford proper stance?!

Yup, looks decent from a distance, also mad PS skills

Unfortunately this is pretty much as low as it goes for a daily car and the kind of roads we have around here. Schwitz

Stickerbombs were unique a couple of years ago. They became annoying once the trend picked up and people overdid it. They became ridiculous once "stickerbomb" foils came up. That's where the creativity was lost completely in my opinion.

You can use this one if you want, it's uploaded to LFSW.

To be honest more people will enter if you let some room for creativity. The rules for this one (99) were very specific.

There are hardly any spaces in LFS that you could make look like you were driving through a forest. A park or alley at best, but even for those I could only find 1 or 2 good places on Westhill - and I looked twice on each track.

Add to that the fact that a convincing bad weather edit is an absolute time sink and very hard to get right... there goes the rest of potential participants.

Also next round delis (host) and Shirtkicker (who chooses the theme) should make entries (and early), how else can you expect other people to take part?

Best of luck to everyone in N°100, I'm willing to give it a try.

He was basing his comment on Bose's 'educated guesses' about the modding community, not Eric's work.

You can even use Photoshop CS2 for free, it's available right from Adobe.

Well you won't improve much if you keep using paint

I have to say I always dreamt of steering a Lotus 49 or Formula 3000 through thick traffic. Whether that is in the middle of a city, some B roads or a stretch of Autobahn - well I'll take it all!

GTA IV driving physics are actually pretty cool but it's not a simulation unfortunately. If there were proper support for wheels/pedals and manual shifting it would be a blast.

Quote from Shirtkicker :5tag: yeah, i forgot the foglight reflections XD

But the head lights should be on too.

Quote from Shirtkicker :motion blur isn't really a thing anymore, what with all the new DSLRs with 1/8000 shutter speeds (that's my story and I'm sticking to it ;p )

Well your rain drops are blurred and the ground too.

Also a high shutter speed requires good illumination of the object. In rainy/foggy conditions it's typically rather dark, so you'd need longer exposure. Despite that, shutter speed is used for artistic purposes too: If you want to capture a dynamic image, you allow for motion blur to happen.

Duh, the main headlights illumination? Big grin

But yeah, I don't think the wheels not spinning are all that subtle.

Quote from englishlord :He posted to help a user, what a rotten bastard!

I was aware of that, probably should have used an emote... I just meant that it doesn't bother Scawen, he's only interested in helping someone out and won't panic because another sim releasing Rockingham as well.

Quote from 5tag :Does anyone have a decent Castrol skin (Celica GT Four WRC) and would care to attach it here? Preferably 2048px

Have one but it's 1024. Second attachement is a generic 2048 one if you're interested.

Thank you very much. Although I'll have to give that green a lot more saturation, looks so weird.
