I'm just saying that poster is a bit of bullshit. Sure, be grateful for what you are and what you have, but if you are sad or even depressed, it's not going to help if you tell him others have much worse lives.
You can't change where you were born and if you have been grown on western territories you don't have to feel sorry for any orphan or starving people there are in the world.
Your fault is what you do (or what you conciously don't), no more, no less.
So... 't turns out: 75% of worlds population lacks either clothes, a place to sleep, a home or a fridge. Though almost 4 Billion people in the world have access to the internet...
I see no problem with that. I'm happy it has become mandatory to post external images used so you can see what the author of an edit has done himself and what not. For me that is a very important criterium since people started to fit LFS cars into photographs backgrounds.
I would rather want to see external images forbidden too, but I can see the decrease in interest this would result in so I'm happy as is now.
All I can say is: Look at the first rounds of the competition! They are filled up with competetive, creative and often detailed edits, that don't need external images.
The one with the main theme is actually a bad idea. We are already struggling to find new interesting themes now (at the moment round 72 looks like an erotic calendar). The sub themes would end all the same and nobody wants (for example) magazine covers to be a theme for six or eight weeks...
Sorry for going off topic but I have to make something clear.
How often has it been posted on this forum? Though Lada is portrayed falsely here because of some reasons: Firstly it did not look like that in the very beginning, more like this:
Secondly if you know little about cars and look at this picture you should be able to figure out easily that this did not come from the late seventies. It must be said that the original design of the Fiat 124 (of which the Lada was a licence build) went into production already in 1966.
Lastly I'm not even sure if the Lada Nova is still being sold or even produced in Russia but whether or not they also released this in 1996:
I got your point, did you get mine? I'm just saying (in a race for example) you need to have a second or third look at the car to recognise it's resembling a wood look. At first sight overall you won't be likely thinking "Oh, that's clearly wood there!", will you?
What meets the eye in the first place is your wood is much too bright, it'll need half or just a third of the actual colour saturation to look believable.
Secondly I can see the wood through the stripes which does look weird. I would've chosen a bare metal look for instance like on old chests.
Also I would have faked the carved look. On the back and front of the car there should be rings visible from the wood. Then again you would have to adjust the wood grain onto all surfaces which would need many many hours of work probably to make it look good.
So huh? On a forum I don't believe I could possibly do any more than "talk". I won't compete and I'm telling you why. Where's your problem with me "whining" if you whine about me yourself?
