Like I said before, Gimpster! Great stuff, kept me on the edge of my seat. I was just waiting for you to touch the grass or oversteer into a wall there! Very good stuff! And helpful too. Very nice way of giving driving hints on a track!

I have done it this way:

Make a new command called shiftdown, record the stick forward action, and assign that to the left paddle. And similar for the right upshift. That way they get recognized as the same button in any game, instead of having to make it a keypress that may conflict with other controls in games. I can send you my profile if you are having trouble.

The inner loop being the entire car, with all the ground intersection, contact patch, suspension and all that. That runs at 2kHz, or with 20 subsamples. When those 20 cycles have run through, the car is moved in the 'real world', and any intersections with barriers, other cars and stuff is resolved.

At least that's how I read Scawen's post.

Thanks! My DFP is still pretty new ( 1 month), but I guess this will come up in the not too distant future.
