Bought the alpha. Pretty cool, but already getting a bit boring, tbh.

I love doing some rockclimbing in the offroad truck, though. Some of the routes are pretty challenging.

iRacing is dropping connection after anything from 5-30 minutes for me after the last build. Running fine up until that point. Other games I can play for hours, and even while playing iRacing and the connection drops Teamspeak snd skype and other services stay connected.
Any tips?
I won't bother asking on the iRacing forums, cause nothing is ever wrong with the service there...

So, this is a screenshotgenerator, then? What the hell is the point of this for driving other than slowing everything down?

It is alot better than the DFP, but wether it makes you a better driver or not is very individual. I think it might, because it will allow you to be smoother and more consistent.

So, let's hope they do Hochenheim classic too!

I changed my FFB settings from linear to nonlinear mode, and it completely transformed the car. From a vague, numb bucket it came alive and now feels like a proper beast. I love it now!

Saying that the L49 is the most communicative car in iRacing says it all, doesn't it?

I feel the bumps, but I get no aligning forces at all. If I slide out and let the wheel go it does nothing.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong?
T500RS/ TM8RS with latest drivers and firmwares and default iRacing settings. Others sims give great feedback, but iRacing feels numb with some bumps thrown in. Looking at videos and descriptions, the L49 should at least try to fight me a little.

I must agree with blueflame on the L49. Resubbed to try it, but chocolate tires is a very good description.
in rFactor2 you can feel everything the car is doing at each corner, they are sublime on a well rubbered track and everything up to temp. The iRental one feels like it has wooden blocks for tires. And unlimited grip available for accelerating. I haven't lost it under acceleration ONCE in a night of playing. Maybe the rF2 F1 cars have prepared me for it, but at least they communicate. iRental Lotus is a mute....

That McLaren is looking insanely grippy? Hitting kurbs hard and not even a hint of sidestepping or anything. Just railroading around the track....

REALLY looking forward to the roadcars, 458 and F40 in particular, but the E92 M3 is pretty far up my list of awesomeness too. :-)

Hell, any car at all, as long as we get Nordschelife! :-)

I'm bursting to try some other cars and tracks than the Elise. The screenshots are drool-inducing, so to drive an F40 on the Ring would probably bring other juices too.....

I can't wait!

GT3 car and a track as flat as a dining table is not the best way to showcase car dynamics, but it LOOKS pretty!

Now, can we please have an old roadcar on a bumpy track, please?

indeed.

Yeah... I recently got a new wheel, wanted to see if it felt any better, plus it's been over a year since I drove it last, so I figured I'd give them the benefit of the doupt. Only paid them for a month, as I was pretty confident it hadn't improved.

The physics had changed, but not improved. Graphics looked better than I remember, though. That is something, I guess.

I resubbed the other day. I like the Skippy and the SRF, and the V8 supercar. Not a single one of them had servers with people in them, and the Lotus I couldn't drive cause I hadn't raced enough in the series with no people in them.... So.. money well spent there...

And the physics are still weird.

Quote :we do plan to release a “long beach lite” before too long. “lite” in the sense that it’s waaaaaay complicated to complete all the artwork (buildings, etc) in street courses, so we’ll just have the racing surface itself surrounded by some generic scenery. At least that’s the way i understand it.

I think only Niels truly understand the engine in rFactor 1. Close cooperation with the ISI team and racing teams to correlate real testing data means he have a unique and deep understanding of the engine and what it can do. He's not touching the rFactor 2 engine, as it is far more complex. Having said that, Niels is getting aero numbers that match wind tunnel numbers VERy closely, I think within 1% for the largest errors, and much closer for most of the aero map.
Also, his Corvette drives VERY convincingly for a road car.

Roll discussion going on here too? damn....

Street car with way overgrippy tires will roll more than on your commute. No magic, no borked physics, just more roll than you are used to.

Loks really good in replays at least.

I'll hardmount it, so clamp isn't an issue. And many I've talked to think the rubber is all right, not like the old sidewinder rubber rim.

And it's less than half the price of a fanatec setup.....
