Wow.

AI that actually pass and even try to pass you back if you mess up a corner, instead of driving through you... Novelty.

The GT86 torque hole is a compromise of not having dual camprofiles. I see it as a bump at 2500 instead of a hole at 3500, but that is just me. That hole can be almost completely tuned out with clever cam timing and ignition. I've done it on mine. To get completely rid of it I need the secondary cat gone.

Granted, the stock 86 that hole is annoying as hell, but a good compromise, because it enables the 2000-3500 daily driver torque to be more than adequate.

I am! ALOT!

A new exhaust and a tune, and saving up for some cosmetic mods like wheels and springs for next season. Couldn't ask for a better daily driver/toy/trackday combo!

Was the same for me. Day I picked it up was first day of snow, and we set a record cold spell last winter. We usually have liek two, thrre days of snow during winter, last year we had a solid three months.
The stock tires are utter crap, but very entertaining. They can take any kind of abuse and come out looking unused, and they are very slippery. I have had mine on 20.000km of normal driving, 6-7 trackdays, took them to the nurburgring, went drifting for a day and generally abused them for a whole season, and they still have a mm or two to go before the wearmarks. Replacing htem next year though, going for 18" summer tires, as performance is less of an issue with dedicated track tires. Mostly for looks and decent street grip.
I'm gonna need pictures of that FR-S, though... :-) What colour is it? ANything done to it?
If you're gonna do any performance mods I highly recommend Circuit motorsports. They e-tune your car, and it turned out REALLY good for me. Torquedip is nearly gone and top end is stronger. Sounds awesome too when the cams work their magic in the midrange.

Hehe! Enjoy the heck out of it, DWB! :-)

Mine has done about 20k miles now and still solid as a rock. It's brilliant on Toyo R888s on track! :-)

Quote from BlueFlame :Well I find it ironic how the L49 is polar opposite in behaviour to the L49 on iRacing. People were saying the L49 on iRacing was amazing etc etc. Now those people are saying the L49 on AC is amazing but surely it just shows how wrong iRacing is...

Well, with a similar setup they aren't THAT different. The base setups are VERY different, though.

Try to adjust the G-force scale on view:

c:\Users\YOUR_NAME\Documents\Assetto Corsa\cfg\camera_onboard.ini

[MODE]
IS_WORLD_ALIGNED=1
FOV=50

[GFORCES]
MIX=-0.0002,-0.0020,-0.0015
LAG=0.8

[SHAKE]
SCALE=0.001, 0.0002, 0.00015
FREQ=150,150,100
RANDOM=0.5

[ROTATION]
HEAD_MAX_DEGREES=60
SPEED=4

"Weak brakes"... Check your brake distance vs speed... i think you'll notice that the brakes are insane, you're just not feeling the speed and G-force

I still prefer the "Correct" FOV evn if it is constricted, though. Makes the scale correct. I'll dream of triple screens some other day.

My point about triple screen setting was that you get to type in the measurements and get the "correct" FOV ingame, even if that reveal your display limitations. :-)

Think it must be a sense of speed issue. Even with a "correct" FOV as far as I can tell I still overshhot corners too. But the braking distances seems to make sense, so I think it's just adapting and/or figuring out the correct FOV.

My procedure so far is to match the steering wheel in the car with the real one. I know it's not correct.

If you enable triple screen you get measurement inputs like in iRacing, just set bezels to 0 and screen width to 1/3 of your real one.

I can do donuts in the E30 M3 all day? If you are on semislicks it would make it harder, but on the 90s street rubber it feels right.

I went from a G25 to the T500RS and shifter. The housing is huge compared to the G25, but the wheel itself is brilliant. The fanatec is comparable in fidelity, but the T500 is built like a tank and feels very solid. Get some polyurethane pad in the brake pedal and you get nearly that loadcell feel with it too. I can just manage to press it all the way if I press as hard as I can.

I've made sure there is no clipping in the game, and even on the relative straights there is no subtlety to the FF at all. I have had tips to lower the driver multiplier as there might be saturation there. I don't know, but in rFactor i get all the subtle forces AND hand-ripping jolts when appropriate, and even LFS and iRacing have subleties that AC doesn't convey at the moment, in my setup. Hoping I'll find the magic bullet, because the physics seem awesome!

Edit: I'll definetly try 900degrees and see if it makes a difference. I've also spotted a FFBFrequency setting in one of hte ini files that is set to 333Hz. I'l experiment with this too, it could be a weird aliasing thing.

FFb is completely limp, sadly. There are strong aligning forces, but no "feel" whatsoever, at least with the T500RS wheel which is sublime in other sims. Apparently Kunos has decided this is realistic.

Yeah, the wheel FFB isw pretty much non'existent, or the aligning forces is just drowning everything out. I get the ocational slight jolt going over potholes in classic Monza in the Lotus 49, but the other cars are just limp. Others have reported the same, and many have the T500RS, as I do. Might be something there....

They aren't very keen on having issues pointed out to them, that's for sure....

Pointing out that not having the kerbs do anything to the steering rack didn't go down very well....

No matter what I set the AA to I get bad jaggies everywhere. Tried any combination of ingame settings now, but haven't played with driver settings yet.

Performance is excellent so far, everything maxed @1080p and hovering around 80-100fps.

Yeah. A LUT would be better than a botched CFD system.

Edit: Yay, previews in the tuning shop!
