Well guys, thanks for the racing! Quite pleased how it turned out considering it's my first endurance race My luck just had to have it a 1hour 30 minutes race on South City
Could you post the replays and some stats, please? Or upload them to Spdo? Hell, even posting just the replays is good enough for me
I must honestly say, this thread has changed my life. Never have I ever experience such self-enlightenment when it came to these kind of manners. I used to be a very shallow person, who would never go into such things and who would have probably lived a very meaningless life. I was just so luckily to stumble upon such an inspiration to everything. I began a walk down a path of enlightenment which would also lead me to happiness and self accomplishment. Pretty much, to make me at peace with myself. I immediately started to feel the difference, I got happier and even managed to finally put to rest a few skeletons in the closet. Now most would probably say that what I have just told is simply nothing but a lie. But I say to you, I was once in the same place but now, I'm a new man! I strongly recommend this thread to anyone
I usually don't post in such threads since I know it won't get anywhere and it will just be more wood building up a fire but man, I am really getting annoyed by this monotonous threads which all end up in the same way. Either closed or so overfilled with nonsense that it's either abandoned or just left as a shallow hull of a pathetic argument's goal. Quite ironical when you think that what I am about to write is more or less the same thing but I just feel like letting this off.
I have literally had it with these stereotypes! I just wonder when they will stop but it's pretty obvious that it won't end! I'm tired of so called moaners and the moaners that moan about the moaners, sick of the fanboys who just swirl around looking for a meaningless excuse to defend their opinion and glad that there are some people who still have reasoning and just shus up because they know it won't get them anywhere and it won't achieve anything (quite ironical again...)
I mean, you get guys that claim that things are not developing fast enough and then they just point the finger at iRacing and claim that the problem is solved when it isn't. It's basically filing up a hole with the dirt dug from another hole. It seems that people forget a very basic mathematical rule: Each action has a reaction.
For iRacing might have a lot of updates but you have to spend at least 200-250 dollars to get it to a decently sized content. Now as realistic as it might be, that's still IMO quite a rip off. If the devs where to give us more content, they'd need more developers, thus need more money and thus would charge more to fund the sim's development. But if that's what makes you happy, then go to iRacing. I'm sure they're happy about it as well but you'll probably end up complaining about how much it cost. There are just some people who just can't be pleased. You can offer them perfection and they'd still find something to complain about.
We've all paid 24 pounds for a sim which we've all played and is pretty much completed so to speak. All the free content we get can be called bonuses since it's free, with the exception of a few major goal points. I mean LFS might be still in the development stage but you can't claim that what we've played till now is not a full game by normal standards.
Besides, even if you guys do want faster updates, you're not really helping. Working hard at something everyday and then for people to tell you that it's basically crap is not really very motivational. Especially when you're not technically getting paid for it directly. You'd probably just quit but luckily, there are more people out there that enjoy this sim then the ones that don't. And that's what keeps someone ticking. Not the money but the fact that your work is appreciated. Unfortunately, those that do don't stand up as much as the ones that don't
Oi, cobber! By jingoez I wanna egg you on to buzz off the gizmo so I can have it. I would love to chew Fat with you over a coldie or some amber fluid sometimes, ok, dag?
Well I guess you won't have to worry about it anymore
I must actually thank this thread. If it wasn't for it, I wouldn't have known about the huge discounts. GTA IV is definitely on my list and a few others.
Actually it was both really. Just couldn't get rid of it in such a way to keep the camera movement I wanted so in the end I took a lot more shots of the 0:37 and 0:52 scenes because I wanted to see if I could at least match a few cars appearing to the rhythm of the song so I could then claim it was pre-planned And I would have gotten away with it, if it wasn't for you meddling kids!
Unfortunately, I must not agree with your statement since my move on car 36 can't be called a dive bomb. While it is true that I carried an extra 20 km/h into the corner then car 36, that does not make it a dive bomb since I didn't brake late and was not blocking car 36's line. And I would have been more then capable to negotiate the turn without car 36's tackle.
Lap and Timecode: lap 7 - 10:41.77
Cars involved: 93 and 36
Brief description of incident: I basically made a move to pass car 36 which succeeded but then we had to brake for the last turn. I had the inside line and was ahead by more then half a car length at the corner entry. Car 36 instead of slightly braking to avoid me, moved on thus tackling me and making me lose a couple of positions not to mention that he himself lost some time.
