Radeons do not support 3D acceleration on two display devices at the same time - not at least the 9xxx series, I do not know what's the case with the more recent ones.
I wouldn't want police pursuits, traffic and free roam etc in LFS.
LFS should remain basicly what it is now... but more than anything, I would love a game with these Need for Speed / Grand Theft Auto elements and the physics engine from LFS. Having a game like GTA San Andreas or Need for Speed (the original) with physics from LFS, that would be pure bliss.
As economic and reasonable as diesel engines may be, I've always found them to be very boring to drive - and that's something I don't look for in a racing game, even though it works out there in the traffic.
I've driven around ten cars with turbodiesel engines, and the same goes for all of them... probably the "best" of them was the '05 Audi A6 3.0TDi... but still boring.
I'm not a "petrolhead" though, as I would probably choose a diesel car myself if I was looking for a new car. In a racing simulation, I'm looking forward to driving something exciting, and I'm yet to witness a diesel that could achieve that.
From your post, I couldn't tell whether you know this or not:
The dual channel ram you have now in your computer, are just like any other dimm's you can buy. By buying a twin kit, you get two identical dimms (usually with consecutive serial numbers) to assure they will work together as dual channel ram. So you can put a single dimm to the other channel, but I'm not sure if the ram you previously had will continue working as dual channel. But it will, of course, still work.
But like you said, it doesn't really make much of a difference.
He drove the same bend twice, IIRC - Once with a FWD car (Civic Type R, maybe?) and a BMW M3. The FWD car understeered and the M3 spun out in the corner. He said something like "At least they got the basic handling characteristics right", which could be said for just about any racing game with both FWD and RWD cars.
Ok, I've never heard of the Finnish Defence Forces Mod either... actually I don't think I've heard much of Operation Flashpoint either, though I've probably seen the name somewhere
Good publicity, I just would have hoped they'd mentioned a bit more about the sounds than saying they're nasty for the ears (which is only true for the engine sounds anyway, I believe). It also felt a bit silly to just sit and watch the cars from chase view while the reviewer wasn't saying anything at all
EDIT: Gunn, may I suggest actually reading that page? The download link IS there...
