Imma not a fanboy but people saying that he is no good at rallying are talking crap. Being able to drive a proper WRC car fast thru rally stages is a really special skill and takes years of practise. It's not just about the way he is able to handle the car but the skill of "road reading" is a skill that not many master. He may not be "WRC top driver" good but he is "rally driver" good. Even with much slower cars it takes lot of experience to be a competitive driver. This is why most of the N-group Mitsubishi & Subaru drivers are driving quite slowly.
People expecting him to just simply get there and be able to fight with the top drivers with great reliability have unrealistic expectations.
I just paid 400 euros for a whole rear axle with an LSD. One of the good things of owning an old Sierra. Shamely it's just an viscous one but should do it's job decently after all I'm not building a drifter, just wanting to be able to put the power down to the road somewhat decently.
And about welded diffs, I think they're good if your only planning on going sideways everywhere but they're not the best if you want to do something else too. Welded diff has a habit of making the car understeer when your not driving sideways. But if there is enough power and you wan't to drift on every surface a welded diff is the best cheapo option.
Well this I don't agree. And when it comes to N/A engines I think you were referring to twin carb setups or ITB's because Weber makes all types of carbs.
A nicely tuned turbo 4-pot with a straight exhaust without mufflers sounds very mean too. Or if there are any mufflers it can sound pretty nuts with a screamer pipe attached to the external wastegate.
But after all it comes down to taste, I still have to admit that 4-cylinders simply arent the best sounding ones available.
Yeah I used to be pretty much a diesel hater but after hearing close up and actually driven some old machinery with big diesel engines, NA & turbo (old russian tank, old Volvo dumper truck + now almost as a daily routine a rather old Nissan forklift) they have grown on me, I rather enjoy them. The sound and the smell.
+ A big power diesel with lots of black smoke is a really ballsy thing.
Of course an ordinary TDI Golf etc. can't be compared to these but just saying diesel might not be that bad. Maybe the louder exhaust will hide a bit of the typical "diesel knock" from that Golf.
It's a pipe designed to lead exhaust gasses from engine to the back of the car and out to the atmosphere. Can't really see anything special in it?
Well it looks like it has a bit too low height but can't judge cause I dunno how exhaust should fit in a Subaru.
The historix cars can drift but yes expecting wide angles is a bit wrong. Tho it is possible, I once did a modified version out of the BDA Escort. Less powerful engine (Lotus twin cam) and instead of the slicks I used tires from some other car from the mod + less stiff suspension and when I actually used quite similar setup style for what I've used to with doing drift setups for LFS it was very driftable. Of course for the wide angles I also added more steering lock. Was just as driftable than XRT.

Features you only for a short clip but a good video of the drifting event I believe those photos are also taken.
This is not true. There is something utterly wrong with your rF/mod/car setup configuration or you cannot drive because holding drifts in the HistoriX cars is very easy and enjoyable.
GTL physics on other hand are quite stupid feeling. They're not the worst around but they don't feel natural at all.
I'm also hoping there's no "gangsta" stuff because it annoys the hell out of me. Kinda kills the possibility to "sink in" if the main character is some black dude with wrongly sized pants.
Yeah it was too short tho if it would've been longer also the quality should've been better. The last few missions were pretty much like "please end already, hopefully the next mission is better". But instead the game just ended giving it an eutanasia.
I just finished the SP campaign and gotta say that the first few missions were quite neat and enjoyable to play, but it really went downhill after the mission "Thunder Run". Still better than COD campaigns tho.
Maybe I'm doing it wrong but I'm starting to feel like the SP campaign is actually worth it, at least in videos it looks much better than the COD ones. + The co-op but I doubt I'll ever really get in to the online play. The online play is a bit meh for me since I already have RO2 for good online FPS.
Nice videos, looks like the SP campaign could be rather enjoyable. Videos I've seen before were played on consoles so they didn't really tell much.
Can you tell me if there is any type of proper LAN? It would be awesome for me and my friends cause we sometimes like to get together and do some LAN gaming, especially the co-op could be epic tho I believe it's only for 2 players?
GTA IV was the first GTA I really actually liked and played thru. Poor performance and horrible jaggies etc were of course annoying but the game itself was one of the best games I've ever played and that is much for me because I very rarely have the patience to play a FPS game fully thru. I think actually IV is the only non-racing game with HL2 that I have played from start to the end. Well ok racing-games (or sims more like) aren't really never "played thru" but you maybe get my point.
I could say I have high hopes for this but I'm feeling a bit pessimist as a PC player.
If you don't have a wheel I suggest to try mouse steering. It's much better than just k/b. I mean I'm a wheel user but even still I can manage a somewhat decent drifting with the mouse if I sometimes feel like fooling around. Just needs a bit practise tbh but analog steering is way better.
