just got a samsung 940bf, 19", 2 ms monitor. thanks for the advice. it's indeed a major improvement over my laptop screen.

i already keep the whole thing elevated for better cooling (won't follow the wet cooling advice, though, even though there is plenty of water in my area) and will try to carefully clean with the airgun.

the thing is, that over the last 6-12 months the computer shuts down earlier and earlier and where i live there is no such thing as qualified help

don't know where else to post this, but why is it that when i am logged in i don't get to see posted pix but just the links, whereas when i'm logged out i see all the pix? doesn't make much sense to me, to be honest.

i mostly use a laptop, even for gaming, and have recently noticed that it shuts down earlier and earlier due to overheating. when touching the body it doesn't seem very hot though. what are chances that dust, etc, that collects inside can be the reason? the fan seemingly works (by the sound and feel of it). and if dust is a possibility how do i clean it? i have access to high pressure air.

got the same problem, no interent for online races, and silly ai. but whatever, i spend quite some time doing either hotlaps or adding faster cars to the field. the ai seem to not improve their speed enough to keep up.

the only real solution i see to this issue is to get an internet connection. i'm working on that. and by the time the ai has been improved i probably won't care anymore

my problem is not a missing patch but those couple of seconds i'm behind the fast guys.

...and not having a working internet connection to race online, of course. now THAT sucks!

any comments? is there anything important to consider when choosing a model? i'll use it mainly for racing and gaming.

never mind women's behinds, but all that has been said here means that the only competitive cars in the gtr class are the fz and xr, no? unless your name is flotch...

hi, a question to those who might know: i really like the fxr best of all the gtr's but have to accept the fact that it's not a necessarily competitive car (compared to the xr and fz). unless, of course, i would be an above average driver....

so my question is whether there are any plans to even out the odds somewhat. if not then i'd consider making an effort and starting to learn to drive with the xr straight away.
