Knowing English better than another person and using it as a basis to prove how drifters are dumb isn't nearly fair. I speak 4 languages but you don't see me writing in them on purpose to show how no one can understand me.

Many drifters are very young and sound like retards because, obviously, English isn't their first language. A sliding car looks cooler than a car that is going straight to a kid who likes cars and enjoyed games like NFS.

On the other hand, there are mature players who prefer drifting. So why the hell not? Don't blame it because it attracts a wider variety of people.

There's no reason to hate drifters, just as there is no reason to hate racers and there is no counter-argument to this statement.

Not having any viruses isn't such a big of a deal, but it's never a bad idea to have a light antivirus running in the background, for example ClamAV. Nobody even listed it and it's easily better than AVG and Avast and of course is free.

Antivirus is like a condom. Better safe than sorry.

I found the cause to the problem thanks to the application WinMTR.

I traced and pinged a European IP, getting packet loss through one server. After further investigation, the server is part of my ISP and is causing problems. I'll call my ISP tomorrow and yell at them.

I was on the demo a year before I joined the forums and I only got S2 about a year ago.

I haven't really played LFS though, I've been busy with real life. Now I'm even more busy but I spend most of my free time on LFS.

I've tried a bunch of other things illegal suggested on IRC and they all failed.

I'm giving up, I'll just go back to single player. :/

I'm refreshing a couple of servers from ingame and from Browse For Speed, getting pings of 400-9999 but when I try to ping them directly through command prompt, I get pings under 100ms.

I've tried changing the 'Master Port' to 8080 with no success.

Any other ideas? :/

That's correct, but this is what heel and toe is for: blip the throttle.

Is there any advantage to actually heel and toeing or it's just 'simulating realism'.

Common sense is obviously the most important thing but i've been using NOD32 since around 2003 and never had a problem with it, nor an infection.

It's light, works well in the background and updates very often.

When you brake, the revs in down. When you downshift you need to blip the throttle to raise the revs back up?

How does this make me any faster?

I'm in the same problem as you, having no idea what tracks I need to learn in order to not make a fool out of myself online.

I've obviously learned BL1 and BL1R when I had the demo. Now I focused on FE1 and FE1R and know them pretty well. It's a tiny map (should get to under 51 seconds with the XFG and XRG on it pretty fast) and it's fun. Now I'm going to go for Aston Cadet, Green, Club, etc. Those are small maps as well.

As my friend says, don't try to be a pro in a week. It takes time to memorize and become better. You'll suck and you'll hate it, but that's how it works. Slowly, you'll stop sucking.

Is it just me or there isn't any smoke when locking the wheels or sliding?
