the only reasons i can think of are the ones i mentioned earlier... all the corporate elite around toronto usually snag up all the seats before anyone else can buy them, plus they're overpriced like everything else in toronto.
plus toronto is the biggest city in ontario, and that includes ottawa. thing with the ottawa area though, is that montreal is also close by, so they have some choice that doesn't require buying a passport and spending 2 hours at the border on top of the 3-4 hour drive each way.
in all honesty, i think the only two viable places in ontario for a new team would be toronto or hamilton.
don't get me wrong, it would be nice to get the jets and the nordiques back, but they would have to either remove dead southern teams or expand, and expansions require massive scheduling changes to accommodate, even moreso than moving a team or two.
the problem with adding/moving only one team is scheduling and division brackets... but i suppose if they did add/move a single team, i'm not sure where they would put it...
thing is, it's almost impossible to get leafs tickets (but who would want to pay up the ass to see them lose?), and in order to see a buffalo game, you need a passport and you have to drive forever to get to the stadium. it would be really nice if we could get a team of our own, we already have an AHL team (and a very successful AHL team at that). that's the only reason i can think of for why we won't get our own team, besides some cockamamie excuse bettman can come up with to sidestep the media.
aside from those qualms, they did mention the possibility of bringing another team to either winnepeg or quebec city, but i know for a fact that they won't be as financially viable as hamilton could be. but in all honesty, i think he'd rather give the team to an american city, regardless of how backwards that may seem.
edit: and gustavsson sucks. he's just as bad as toskala. j.s.giguere was supposed to be another toronto saviour, but they killed their defence by trading it all away.
i still don't understand how bettman can choose a useless backwater city for a hockey team, and will completely ignore hamilton for a team because we had one in the 1920's... they did it with pittsburgh in the 90's too. even if we don't have the nhl-grade stadium, we had a moneybags who was willing to foot the bill, but still no.
just a bump, "old location bar" isn't compatible with firefox4, even with the compatibility protection turned off... some of it's functional, but not enough to warrant me to keep using it. ah well.
i'm surprised they don't send someone to round up all the farm animals... as if strolling through a disaster zone was bad enough, but being chased by bulls...
I revised my comment with two from another thread, which still contains my final stance on the topic. Long story short, LFS's VWS and Rockingham have been displayed around the world in several instances while the gamers get the shaft. I hope they have some back-door arrangement where they're getting trucks of money.
This is the limad section of the Airio config. Note that by default, you need to add yourself as a limad in order to do anything useful. If the user can't be bothered to read the file when they edit it, then it's their own damn fault.
The original purpose of leaving the line in there was for EQ to debug problems that could occur.
stick with blender, i'm assuming what rfactor needs is the MDL file output, so you'll need something that can write that. if blender is too confusing, you might want to consider gmax... it's a stripped down version of 3dsmax. it's not perfect, but if you're familiar with 3ds, it should be relatively easy. (or you can give autodesk the $4000 middle finger they deserve)
