Those cars will be released in next patch (Or when they will be ready so maybe not the next patch but thats not the point)
The only people who gets them to drive now are beta testers (Almost everyone are testers now lol).
If you want to be a beta tester just email devs and wait for confirmation.
Wish you luck
Approach t1 on BL1 at speed of 250 km/h.
Just b4 the turn mash prtscr button hoping it would produce enough lag (In some games it works)
????????
Pretend it was a lag
You see a lot of files because this pack was released like this separate reflections, separate tyrethreads, separate skins etc.
This why i said to download only one pack with full installer.
This way you will have everything in one handy pack.
132.MB i think you downloading the right package.
Gills' Sound Workshop
Along with revo pack its a must especially skid sounds since they are much louder that default you will learn to drive clean without losing control much faster Revolution Pack August 28th, 2009 There is also installer all in one handy package with choice of options during installation. RevoPack June24 10 No installer too much work to install packages one by one for a lazy dude like me Especially that previous pack is pretty good.
I get its your personal taste and you feel the need to tell us that our taste sux but your is okay, now please answer to the question i asked in previous post i will now quote myself and rage even more because of it
Help me to catch your way of thinking if i have something against your personal taste is bad for me but if you have something against personal taste of others isn't this suppose to be bad for you also?
Anyway read my post again i didnt say i have something against your personal taste.
I said i dont like when you try to show your personal taste down my throat and anyone else who accidentally happens to laugh at stuff you dont find funny.
Just keep it to yourself I also dont find funny a lot of things posted here (Your post also belong to that category, not funny enough to laugh at it and not interesting enough to be worth energy my monitor used to display it while i was reading it) but if every time i make a post "Hey thats not funny" 3/4 of that thread would belong to me.
edit: answer to your previous edit.
Read again i never asked you why you didnt find it funny i asked why did you wanted to a achieve by saying its not funny.
The fact you bothered to answer and reject my evaluation of motives behind your post means i hit the spot.
Look dude are you always like that, feel the urge to tell the world you dont find something funny?
Go on twitter or facebook, if you dont find something funny its ok just keep it to yourself, what do you wanna achieve by saying "That shit is not funny"?
Wanna make him stop posting stuff like that? Hey dont discourage him i love strutting Leo if you wanna communicate how intellectually overdeveloped you are in comparison to us simple folks by not finding something simple funny, its ok we get it.
I wish people would stop trying to prove how superior tastes they have by not finding something funny.
PS. If you gonna answer to that, please include explanation what did you wanted to achieve by saying "this is not funny" because its always wondered me what people want to achieve by saying that.
"Degree of rotation" and "wheel turn compensation".
With this settings even PS2 controller is much more smoother than G25 in rFactor (Believe me on word here :nod
But i dont think you will have to use them maybe "Degree of rotation" and FFB settings basically if rFactor require from you to set everything from beginning turn off speed locks in cfg, rates etc, in LFS by default you dont have any driving helps and stering is much responsive yet cars are very stable.
While rFactor feels way too adhd like
How many years it takes devs to release this Scirocco and Rockingham?
How long lfs is in alpha or how long its in S2? Not finished S2 cuz its Z28, technically its not finished yet...
Just look at it realistically when they release new stuff i doubt anyone would still be interested.
But lets get the point, look at the devs pace of work how long do you think it will take them to release all this cars and tracks you speak about?
Gran Turismo
Also infamous rFactor accordint to their homepage since 1255 allow for unlimited usage during trial period (all cars and tracks and mods i think) as i remember when i first time dl the demo it had more cars and tracks than lfs (I am not talking about different layouts of the tracks or different version of the cars like XR GT, XR GT Turbo XR GTR, but about totally different cars and tracks.
Edit: rFactor Demo Just checked 14 tracks in 37 variations plus 8 car classes with 18 different cars, so it is pretty close.
Not sure what do you mean here.
its the fastest car in LFS, in therms of handling surprisingly this one come close to rFactor its just much softer in handling and stable than rFactor version but pretty similar.
If you drove rFactor version which tends to lost grip very sudden you probably notice this one is easier to handle.
Doesnt mean easier to win because in LFS "If you can control it you arent driving fast enough" its pretty much true saying so just prepare that at the beginning everyone will be faster, even your own rear wing
Just a side note i compare every aspect to rFactor just because i think its much easier to explain to someone how its like while making a comparison to the stuff he already familiar with.
I could try to compare to GTL but i think its too far from rFactor and LFS to even make any comparison between those games.
So good you will be screaming at asleep.
When you will be driving at freeway and see someone near your rear you will sweat and feel anxious, you will let pass other cars on the road even when you have priority because AI teach you to do that, basically it that good
LFS beats rFactor in therms of realism single-handedly also steering can be set to be much smoother than in rFactor which makes driving much more pleasant (I am surprised you didnt notice this yet)
Multiplayer is done far better than rFactor (almost Lag free, since there is no mods there is no mismatches(Hard to tell is this is an asset ) Some minor physical bugs like red and white barriers of flying Fdoom etc, nothing that will seriously spoil you game, good system of stats etc its actually one of the most professional parts of the lfs.
So since you come from a games which are mods rich one major warning.
Its LFS there is no mods and probably wont be.
This is all you have now www.lfs.net/?page=contents
There is suppose to be one new additional track and one additional car and finito.
I decided to stress it out because a lot of people think LFS is content rich and when they learn it have as much stuff as demo of some games if not less they are very disappointed and after a few months come to forum with topics like "Why lfs is dying and how to save it", "why do we need mods, rebuild of LFS, /Dx10/11/new updates every week etc".
So keep in mind its not rFactor, LFS have a bit more stuff than rFactor demo had (If i remember well)
But if you look for a good sim LFS is pretty much the best out there and definitely better than rfactor which often feels like bricks on the wheels when compared to FLS (Me myself cant let it go, it have 1983-90 touring cars and basically cars from 1970-2000 which are my personal fav I love those plastic cockpits )
Edit: Damn I should glue those sentences faster, now I ended up on third position...
my English sometimes (Well most of the time) is a frivolous woman
Anyway main point was that they dont need to write anything specifically for community.
If they would make available what they use it wouldn't be a waste of time by making it specifically for community since they already have it themselves, or at least make it easier for moders to mod LFS by making necessary info available.
Also i dont think devs use some tools they made themselves which are necessary for moding do they?
I just thought they use already existing tools 3D graphic editors etc.
Cant be helped
Truth told i am a pretty enthusiastic when it comes to topic of moding lfs because with this physics i'm pretty sure you can attach wheels to a kettle and it will roll like a pro and will be pleasant to drive
Fantasy tracks would be cool, i think.
If devs would actually want to bother (Kinda doubt they would) i would gladly accept any tracks but i think that there is nothing better than LFS physics + nurburgring nordschleife in mercedes 300 SL gullwing (Fetish from GT) I would cum on every corner
No one forcing anyone to dl them, its good quality you dl it, its lame you ignore, whats difficult about it, you dont have to use any mods you dont want so dont decide on things instead of people who want to use mods.
Again leave it to moders and mods users, if they decide they want to go trough all the inconvenience then its up to them not you.
No one ask devs to write tools why dont they just allow modding, make some info like directories, addresses, info what tools they use, available to comunity, nothing more.
rFactor, GT Legends, and a lot of other games uses mods yes there happens too complex and badly optimised models etc you cant avoid this but still there is more good stuff about moding, benefits outweight the cons.
Exactly most games dont even life for so long (LFS community its very specific community where demo users can race blackwood for years b4 he decide to buy license) but basically LFS its poor in content and it would be good to let some fresh air into it.
Bad idea i doubt ferarry or jaguar wont make a fuss when devs add licensed cars into game, mods have that advantage that you can add licensed content and since its non-profit its being ignored.
If Game devs include nurburgring, Bahrain some tracks from Gran turismo or laguna seca in game i doubt it will be ignored by people who have rights to it.
So mods its the only way to add licensed stuff into game.
Also doubt devs would want to bother with frequent update not to mention a lot of people want to control what is installed, now lfs take something around 132 MB add some tracks and cars and you will have pack more than 5 GB with easy.
Altbierbude (GTL community) solved its pretty good they have best tracks and cars chosen with quality control into one big pack with autoupdater and you can race on their server if you have installed it so its frequently updated, quality under control and no client-server mismatches
So quality control, frequent updates, and servers can be managed by community without need to bother devs.
Mod controls can be managed by community, yes some can say that it will split community but its not a valid argument since community is already splited between cruise, drift, destruction derby etc servers so its already split but its up to user what server they want to race with what mods etc.
Come one we can think for themselves there is no need to think for us.
Unless you want to make its easy and comfortable by allowing someone to think for you.
Just after writing it all i realised mods in LFS lol imposibru most likely it will be allowed only when devs got bored of LFS or LFS will be dying and then they try is as an reanimation of a kind, not earlier (I mean LFS its pretty old as a game in the other hand i have no idea is it a game or still an alpha, Duke could be in similar situation alpha for 14 years, but anyway i have no idea if it will be terrible outdated game when they finally release it or it will die as an alpha.
Its already being played in some cases more than 5 years how fresh this game can be to those players?
True told at the beginning thing made me rage so hard that i resorted to offline racing and dont care about online anymore (Maybe give it another chance one day).
But as for now I find it hard to believe that you can just enter a server where this behaviour not spoiling all the fun.
Of course i dont speak about Official Race Events like Leagues etc, which are rare but ppl actually racing and not just testing setups.
Anyway if 10 dollars is not too much for you, you still can buy S2 Just because it have pretty good physics Just be warned that there is not much content and if you a person who gets bored easily there is a big chance that you next thread will be about lack of the new stuff in LFS.
Since mods are prohibited and devs have pretty lazy pace of work you can forget about new tracks or cars in the near future.
First scenario:
You race with other people suddenly someone ram you in the but, accusing you of driving like a noob and initiate voting which is most of the time result in you being kicked even if no one seen the situation because everyone was concentrated on the road.
Second scenario:
Everyone rocket to the first corner resulting in T1 massacre and 50% of the car canceling the race and returning to pit.
You still on the road in undamaged car, you too slow to put up a challenge for leaders of the stake but you skill is enough to compete with everyone else, too bad everyone else one by one returning to the pit usually when you pass them and just playing with setups, leaving pit, after a few corners return to the pit and continue like this till race end.
I would like to race too bad usually there is like 5 drivers (Usually too fast for me to even think of getting near them) last till the end of the race, everyone else just playing time attack.
Third scenario:
No one care about racing, everyone just like chating, playing with setups, drifting, etc.
End even best servers suffer from it.
Truth told leaving race just because you not first is the most irritating by now.
I am not an alien and I am not a kick ass driver, i dont drive really fast but i love to race and I am not the worst because there is a lot of worse drivers I know them when i pass them, unfortunately the only one racing is the head of the stake.
The rest is just like what ever.
It depends.
If you like me, who cant stand monotony, get bored easily and need constant stream of freshness trough the game to keep your interests then LFS is not for you.
Because there is only 6 tracks and different layouts of that tracks.
In addition 4 of the tracks have no remarkable differences, in fact Aston, Kyoto, Westhill, blackwood could as well be different layouts of the same track, because the only difference between them is layout, visually they are the same (grass, trees and nothing interesting or climatic about them)
But if you can drive the same cars on the same tracks for years and still have all the enthusiasms because physics its the only that matters then LFS is perfect for you.
I just think its important to mention it, otherwise you will return here a few months after buying LFS and make a long thread why LFS is a great but dying game and it needs DX 9/10, updates, new cars/tracks how to save LFS, why mods should be allowed etc.
