Quote from Michael Denham :I have to agree. I just don't think it looks realistic the way it's done in photoshop. It's just a shame when you're made something awesome and completely realistic looking and then the lens flare gives it away.

ok, i get what you guys are saying now. Yea, i agree that it doesn't look realistic at all, but it is a cool effect just to play around with.

I promise from here on out, i will never use lens flare when photoshoping cars

thanks, that was the first time i tried doing a purge valve, so i wasn't sure how it was going to come out..lol.

updated the pic...blended the body kit in a little better.

Just did a s2000 as well.

I love how easy it is to put a side scoop in the door..lol...and it looks good on 99% of the cars

Quote from Ghostelites :my feeble attemps

the epclipes was my first car i did

The golf was started just never got around to doing the rims and colouring and mixing in the bodywork, someone can take over that one

i finished the golf for you

i wasn't sure if i liked the wing on the back, so i took it off..but this is what i did..

rims, window tint, color matched the body kit(kinda, still needs work), shaved door handle, lowered, played around with a purge valve, headlight eyebrows, clear taillight

i think that's it..i don't remember anymore...lol.

Quote from der_jackal :It was JUST over the expensive line..which brought it right in the Wife asked twice, "You paid HOW MUCH FOR THAT?" area....

:ices_rofl

it's bad enough when you get her to say it once....but then it goes into another catagory when she says it twice..lol

Quote from silver bullet : I feel bad about spoiling the general fanboi mood around here but after so much hype about a few pictures and a video on Youtube, I can almost feel a huge letdown when the bloody thing hits the stores.

that's the exact reason why i don't pre-order anything, i like to get real-world feedback before i spend money on something. That's why i didn't pre-order nKPro, and i'm glad i didn't...lol...because after all the hype over it prior to release...many, many people were very disappointed.

I really hope that doesn't happen with the G25, but i will definately wait and see before i start throwing my money around.

Quote from frokki :Even because you seem to have "constructing" opinions about modern sports cars, why don't you argument your claims to be more believable?

hmmm...let me think about this one...

first...i am not "constructing" opinions..i am simply stating them.

second...if they are my "opinions",(which you, yourself, has stated them to be), how can i argument them to be more believable? It is my opinion...if you wants facts...look elsewhere.

I love this forum...it is incredibly predictable...makes me laugh everytime someone gets all worked up over words on a computer screen.

I also love how people use big words to sound like they know what they are talking about. Especially when the words they use do not fit into the context of the statement. And then, when all else fails, they resort to personal attacks. Which you can clearly see an example of in George's post.

That's it for me, this thread has already gotten way too far off topic...you can flame all you want...but there will be no more replies from me.

and again...great job turbo4door and good luck with your future autox'ing

yea, the UF1 and XFG make for some real close racing..you just have to pick smaller tracks, unless you really want to battle it out for 15mins with no breathing room...lol.

Quote from Thorvertonian :Uninstall current drivers, install the new Omega drivers!

lmao...i don't believe i forgot about those...i had them with my old nvidia card, and then totally forgot about them when i switched to ati.

thanks thor

that's the same card i have. i would try it with your current drivers..and then only upgrade if you are having problems. I haven't seen any difference in any kind of performance after i upgraded to the newest drivers.

let me reword my previous statement, because you obviously did not understand me...

if you do not have anything constructive to add to the post about the cars...then do not post anything

Quote from 96 GTS :Lancer Evo, Subaru STi, C4 and B5 Audi S4 aren't worth it?

Evo falls on it's face at about 40mph....STi burns the motor up between 30k-40k miles... i'll agree with you on the S4, though...i wouldn't mind owning one of those :P

now the disclamer for all the flamers that are going to inevitably post here...

These are my opinions and my opinions only. They do not reflect the actual quality/performance of any car listed above. Please do not post anything resembling "dude, u have no clue what u r talkin bout..my friend's brother's sister-in-law has 1 and she pwns everything she races!" However, if you actually have something constructive to add, please do not hesistate to post it

Quote from 96 GTS :I've always wanted to do it. I love the autocross in LFS, and doing it real life would be a blast, I think.

BTW, what kind of car do you have? There are some pretty cool turbo 4 doors out there

Yea, you should definately see if there are any tracks around where you live. It's not as fun as running a real track...but it is awsome nonetheless.

the only turbo 4 door ever worth mentioning..is the SRT-4..lol...j/k...but i might be biased on that statement

awsome job...yea, autox is a lot of fun in real life. If they use the same course everytime, you should take a picture of it and then make it in LFS..would be interesting to see if it actually helps you in real life.

interesting...but i don't think i would want my racing seat on caster wheels..lol...that's fine on an office chair...but i can just imagine...going down the straight at South City, under the bridge...hard on the brakes into the first corner...and 'wheee' the chair rolls across the floor taking you out of reach of your wheel and pedals...lol.

Quote from xaotik :A charming piece of work and definetely worth mentioning to Victor - it should be put on the homepage to promote the game to minors... :/

At least it has a Parental Advisory on it...lol.

@Harry..you have to put that skin on next time we are racing the UF1, so i can have something to look at as i pass you

Quote from Rtsbasic :
Gives me time to make a new shifter mount I guess..what would be ideal is a universal mousemat mount thats designed to slide under the desk when not in use. Anyone know of such a thing?

i would take an old keyboard tray that slides under the desk, cut it so it's just wide enough to fit the shifter, then relocate the slide bars. Then just pull it out, mount the shifter, play, unmount the shifter, slide the tray underneath the desk.

Prolly take like 10 minutes to make and about 2 mins to put the shifter on and then take it off when you're done.

or, if you don't want to bother mounting and unmounting the shifter, then just use a c-bracket(or modify an L-bracket), mount the top of the bracket to the underside of the desk and mount the slide rails and platform to the bottom of the bracket. The shifter will sit a lot lower, but you would just be able to slide the whole assembly under the desk. You would also be able to mount the shifter a little more securely doing it that way.

i hope i made that clear enough..lol.

i'm very good at fabricating stuff....but i have one heck of a time trying to describe it to someone else...lol.

Quote from Shinrar :I mean, I hoped when they showed I'd just be able to run over right away and grab one. I pass by a series of computer stores each day on my way home from work, and I check their websites daily (BestBuy and CompUSA, as well as a fewer smaller stores that specialize in gaming). However, I've seen no mention of G25 in any of them. Pre-order or otherwise...

i went to my local best buy the other day, and they were pretty much clueless as to when they are getting the G25, if at all.

i'm sure it will be available at the local stores at one point...but i really don't think they are going to show up the day it's released. If you want it as soon as possible, then i think your best bet is to pre-order it from an online company.

Quote from comradesampo :I like the idea, but I'm a bit mystified at your color choice. Isn't the traditional Yamaha livery dark blue and white? Also, the text is almost disappearing where it overlaps the logo... I suggest either adding a border or changing the color.

Yamaha has also started painting their bikes red and white also...i don't think they've started a light blue and orange paint scheme, though

personally, i would make the logo smaller and put it further up the nose..so it's not hidden by the suspension, and then make the yamaha lettering a little smaller and put it underneath the logo.

but that's just me

Quote from wheel4hummer :When will we get the MRT12 Twin Turbo?

lol..you'd triple the weight of the vehicle just by putting that motor in...but it would still be cool/deadly/psychotic to have like a 1200 pound car that only like 4 feet long with around 800hp
