Maybe with some shift lights??
On my motorbike I have a shiftlight which is set at a certain rpm for all forward gears. I dont know if theres any that have separate gear settings?? Or if the LFS cars have different rpm shiftlights on each gear? or all on one set rpm (7400rpm etc)

The way I corrected this problem is the above, create a list of the cars and where the redline/shiftlight should be and check the car u are in and mke the shiftlight come on at the desired RPM

Im using Built 7100 32-bit and have no problems, had 64-bit version and worked there too.. BUT......

when I installed I used the latest GPU Drivers from Nvidia which were supposed to work on Win7 but it was buggy in LFS etc with my old 8600GTS,

I installed 186.35 and all is fine .. Apart from being demo. lol

Quote :i know the cpu has enough power as it is 700w and had no trouble with the old 9800 and this one apparently uses 30% less power.

the 9800GT Green Edition only needs a minimum of 450w

depends how old the psu is too, but he says the PC is fine with the onboard graphics, which does kind of points to the new card.

Quote from Luke.S :the pc works fine with the onboard 8200gt.

Also the fact that it works without the card plugged-in... makes me think that its definetly the card thats at fault...

Try cleaning the PCI-E slot, give it a blow. unlikely but bits of dust etc could short circuit and cause the PC to shut off. Happened when I fitted this PC with one..

Might be a bad card... contact them if its under warranty.

Yea thats the old 9800GT, the one you have now is the Green Edition, yea.. and it doesn't need power connected so the problem consists somewhere else..

Quote :
System Requirements:
• PCI Express® 2.0 or PCI Express-compliant motherboard with one x16 graphics slot
• Minimum 450W or greater system power supply (with 12V current rating of 26A)
• High quaility 550Watt or greater system power supply for SLi™
• CD-ROM drive for software installation
• 1GB of system memory

Quote :
Operating system support:
• Microsoft® Windows® XP 32/64-Bit, MCE
• Microsoft® Windows® Vista 32/64-Bit

You already had an 9800GT but check your system meets the requirements of the Club3D Green Edition...

Searching around, a few sites say the 9800GT Green Edition doesnt require a power connection...

http://vr-zone.com/articles/ge ... needed/6643.html?doc=6643

or maybe the Club3D model does?

If your were not using it then it shouldnt have any effect on LFS.

Hey,

What patch are you using?
Are you using any tweak programs, LFSTweak etc?

Edit: lol twice you bet me Blunder (us Demo's are always slow...)

Check all connections from the card to the motherboard
also make sure its in the slot correctly, and if you have 2+ slots, try a different one?

Quote from DarkTimes :Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think it's possible to do this. You can add a DLL to your main assembly as an embedded resource, but if you use that DLL as a reference then I believe it needs to be separate.

Maybe you can embed it as a resource and on first run, extract it to a folder, eg LFS root, but I'm not sure about refrencing it that way.

Quote from DragonCommando :You do realize all you had to do was cut the cables, thats all they ask most of the time.

Yea, My G15 LCD stopped working, I was asked to cut the wire for the keyboard and they would send a replcement, Well now I have two that work (1 with no LCD though)

Its not too hard to reconnect a few wires..

Depends whats wrong with it though obviously, but I was ok

I got around this by launching LFS with commandline from the program.

Thanks!
