I know, its a user made dll and isnt assosiated with LFS at all.. apart from making outgauges etc.
I include it with the mod... If the user deletes/moves the dll to 'try' pass the licence check then the mod just will not work.
+ my question still has no answer... If the mod need this onlince licence check to be able to release here on the forum, then why cant I.. or why no-one will tell me how to implement into my program...
Bob had mentioned that it would be 'extra security' but not required..
~~~ This has seriously hijacked this thread... suggest opening a thread or through PM... maybe even drop it. and let the mods decide about my app...
I think you misunderstood my question slightly, I was asking about who I can get help from so that I can add the online licence check to my mod...
As bunder9999 stated that a licence check through the exe with lfs_external.dll wasnt enough to be accepted for release here...
Illegal??
Im not doing anything illegal...
Just looking for how to add online licence check since bunder9999 said it needed it and not just a local check via the exe...
I will buy S2, actually probably S3 by the time it would be worth it to me..
Im going to the RAF in like 3weeks now, so I cant see much point buying it for it not be used like 10 months of the year..
lol, u had use worried, no post for 19 hours :P after, 'lemme try one thing'
Still have no idea why it wont work with you guys, I have tested on 3 different OS and 32/64bit...
About Installing Win7:
Do you mean on startup, to boot from cd to install? 'press enter to boot from cd' message....
Go into BIOS (usually F2) and there is usually a setting in there to set boot priority, put the cd drive to the top..
Some BIOS have a setting like 'OS Install Mode' enable that if there is one??
If the dll does not exist, the mod closes..
If the mod cant connect to LFS, the mod closes..
If the mod connects and detects DEMO, the mod closes
The mod will only stay open, able to tweak if S1 or S2 is detected, all other ways it will close...
There is no way a demo user could 'trick' it to think they have S1/S2...
1st: I was posting usernames... ok I made a mistake. I thought there was a _ in it... Is it that big a problem..
2nd: Actually I did find z15, z25 myself
ok I first used LFSTweak3 for z13 addresses sometime ago...then z15 came out and I found those addresses my self and made my mod on z15.
Just now for z25 I have the XFG addresses and some XRG.. all of which myself.
(Its not hard to find the addresses in CE, if you know the initial value, eg XFG displacement being, 1298.39245605469, then finding that address makes it hell of a lot easier to find others for that car because they will be close...)
3rd: The licence protection isn't passable, that I can see, the mod will completly close if LFS is demo.. ie making no way possible to bypass, if the program is closed..
Yea the host is fixing a few things.. be online soon. my mate (owner) is recoveing from a stroke so its a little slower to be back up and running...
~~~
Im a demo, so I probably would be killed for posting addresses
but if im aloud to share them then I will post z25 demo car addresses.
To mods: I have spoke to bob_smith and XCNuse about my mod/addresses, they either never noticed or are ok with a demo releasing a tweak mod as long as it had licence protection for demo's. Dont kill me for posting I know addresses etc...
:noob:
Packed all required ocx/dll's into a setup. The setup will install the VLFSDash.exe and register the ocx & dll files required. Then at the end there is a .reg file that will run (attached a text document of what the reg file does, incase you are wiery of running them..)
Really depends on the instructor teaching you..
The guy I had with BSM was really good, I passed 1st time..
My mum used BSM also with a different instructor and failed 2 times, passed 3rd..
There are better driving instructors out there. I was ok with them.
I didnt I was working...
but my brother went out as The Stig lol not very imaginative, white racing suit, and white helmet.. he enjoyed it though
enought sweets for a month, although im sure they'll be finished before the end of next week..
ahh ok then,
Download the source then you have the ocx files, try registering them with the above method, also try running the program from within the INC folder...
Im doing some extra changes, when i'm finished I'll pack all the ocx/dll files and register then from within a setup... just like the old versions of VLFSDash...
ok, my settings in cfg.txt are:
OutGauge Mode 1
OutGauge Delay 1
OutGauge IP 127.0.0.1
OutGauge Port 11111
OutGauge ID 0
In VLFSDash click options and make sure the port is the same as OutGauge Port port.PNG
If it is, then make sure you have allowed the dashboard program through your firewall, may it be windows own or another like AVG...
If you have done that also I dont really know whats wrong, as it works on my end...
Edit: try downloading the source and either running it from within Visual Basic (if you have it) or try the .exe in the 2.2 folder..
Other than that i'm totally stuck why it don't work..
sure:
OutGauge Mode 1
OutGauge Delay 1
OutGauge IP 127.0.0.1
OutGauge Port 11111
OutGauge ID 0
Your looks ok, make sure the port is the same as the one in the dashboard... and u have no firewall blocking it, I had to add an exeption on the firewall for it to work...

oh and I have changed the lights and added battery warning (taken out headlights as fullbeam replaced it)
ok in the source code folder, go into the INC folder.. now copy the path to the isAnalogLibrary.ocx
open a command prompt (cmd.exe)
type(without quotes):
"regsvr32 [path to ocx]"
e.g: regsvr32 C:\Users\Tiger\Desktop\VLFSDash_Source\source\INC\isAnalogLibrary.ocx
Do this with the other ocx & dll files, it should work then... if not post other errors
COMDLG32.OCX
iProfessionalLibrary.ocx
isAnalogLibrary.ocx
MSCOMM32.OCX
MSSTDFMT.DLL
