Watch less TV! Or just mute when the ads come on, it makes it easier to ignore them
There aren't that many ads which don't insult the viewer's intelligence in some way - in fact, annoying and retarded as car ads often are, I find ads for razors, tampons and toothbrushes a lot more retarded and annoying.
I hate toothbrush adverts. They try to come across as if there have been amazing advances in toothbrush technology. Same applies for razors.
I'd be surprised if people really believed them. Then again people are stupid.

Insurance would be way too much.
Maybe it's really cheap in New Zealand.
That said, I am looking at an E30 or E36 316.
Insurance for that is around £3000 a year.
According to Money Supermarket, a 16 year old first driver can't get insured on a 1993 Nissan Skyline (the only options were for the 2.5l, mind)

General Lee, your BMW was your first car was it not?
If so, how much insurance do you pay on it? If you don't mind me asking.

I buy whatever if the price is right.
The most money I spent on a piece of clothing was £90 on my leather jacket. Reduced from £200.
TKMaxx.
I spent about £60 on my shoes (Adidas Superstars) but they last for ages, are comfy and never go out of fashion.
But I never buy stuff just for the name.

You can haggle in all countries, but the US (for whatever reason) gets stuff (i.e. cars) a LOT cheaper than Europe.
A Mustang is exactly half the price in the US than the UK. (£13,000 vs £26,000) I'm willing to bet that in the rest of Europe it's even worse.
They don't change the number, just the symbol in front of the number.
