you use it to lower the maximum lock the faster you go.
if i get it right, an example would be: if you have your maximum lock at 16°, speedreduce at 1 and reducehalf at 100 (which is meter/second, so 360kph), max. lock should be reduced to 8° when you´re driving 360kph.
Just like the "wheel turn compensation", it might be nice to have sliders in the control-options for "speedreduce" (0-1) and "reducehalf" (0-200, right?).
seems like atm you can only find out about those two values in the commands.txt.
yeah lol, you´re both on the american continent. here in europe it´s already past midnight, so 21st
anyway, i hope none of you confuses LUNAR and SOLAR eclipse. like, when i was still online in LFS, i shouted something like "WOW, TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE NOW ... OR TOMORROW!!!", and the first question was "WHERE???" ....
i´m not 100% sure about the date. on wikipedia it says feb. 21 2008, on another page it says "In der Nacht von Mittwoch auf Donnerstag", so during the night from wednesday to thursday ... anyway
there is a total lunar eclipse starting 3:00 GMT/UTC, and ending 3:51 GMT/UTC
since the moon went out of my sight at 3:01 utc tonight, guess i won´t see much of the total lunar eclipse, no matter if it´s tonight or tomorrow night *pfff*
so, if i´m not totally stupid, the moon might be visible during that time from the north american continent
for those who can see it: enjoy
next total lunar eclipse will be dec 21 2010
edit: some more info about the event from an older thread:
why cheat in an xrt when there is the bf1? why use the cheat to get a "new challenge" when the competition comes with other players, not new 'programs'?
lfs alone provides enough room to have races against others, and depending how high the ping to another player is, it gets more and more dangerous racing online the faster the car goes. above a certain speed it doesn´t make much sence anymore.
i don´t want to use the speedhack, i don´t need to use it, and i certainly hope i´ll not be forced to use it just because everyone else has it already.
just about 20hours ago we had a 1hour race on fern bay club with the UF1 - and everyone loved it.
if you think you need or want to use the speedhack, you´re simply playing a different game, different rules, so you´re wrong on our server.
something like that... i hope i made myself clear.
edit: P.S. respect is more like what cheaters don´t have. they don´t respect the fact that no decent racer wants to see his opponent suddenly accelerating to twice the maximum topspeed on straights.
I haven´t seen one cheater comming online and introducing himself like "Hi, i´m going to use the speedhack. can you guys please change the server name to hackhackhack and get the program as well?" they just come in and cheat. and you´re asking us to respect them?
To all the oval fans out there: There´s a server online that pretends to be "(FM) OvaL JuNkies", called "(FM) OvaL JuNkles" (with an L instead if an I).
This server has been started by "[DaEmOn]", a guy who had a global ban and recently bought a second licence called "LFS.net".
He has a lifetime ban on all FM servers for cheating. The ban has been refreshed yesterday, and shortly after that, the (FM) OvaL JuNkles server came online.
restart lfs
re-download & install lfs
try to connect to a different server
try to connect several times
that´s just the basic things to do
maybe checking the firewall settings might also help, although windows firewall allows pragrams started by you to connect to the internet even without asking.
when i make someone join spectators using "/spec user", there´s no message on the server saying "xy joined the spectators", and also, when i check the lfsworld progress window right after it, it doesnt show him spectating.
with like 70m per lap, it´s 210m after 3 laps - that´s not really 1 km, is it?
anyway, you´re lucky! i´ve done several hundred laps uf1 on autox layouts (mostly banger races), and it doesnt show a single one - only bl1 and 2.
silly question maybe, but how is it possible, that whatshisnameagain bought like 10 licences and gave them away including some quiz, right here on this forum? ... i think some of you know who i mean.
it´s not the wheel, but your controller settings in lfs. the "wheel turn compensation" on your screenshot is set to 1. that´s the second slider from the top, in your language called "Ohjauksen lineaarisuus".
if you set it to 0, the wheel ingame will turn with a constant speed while you do the same to your wheel. so, if you can turn max 90° into one direction and the ingame wheel can turn max 360 (=4x90), then the ingame wheel will always turn 4x your wheels turn.
if you leave wheel turn compensation at 1, then it does just what you said: the closer you are to the center, the slower the ingame wheel turns.
ping 37/39 to liveforspeed.net - so those 2 tests don´t show any problems, do they? ok, timeout at the second hop ("zeitüberschreitung der anforderung"), but after that it went back to normal
