Hi FL!P, great tool but can I ask if you will be releasing your own custom views that can be placed in each FlipCam folder so ppl don't have to make their own?
Yes I am too slack at making my own :hide:
BTW Nice link of names!
Yes i have also had this when using LFSSTATs also developed by Gai-Luron. To fix it I reset insim by typing "/insim 0" within LFS then starting the port again by typing "/insim 29999". I suspect it is LFS realising it has lost connection with the app & I am not sure if it can be fixed other than reseting insim as above.
Yes Please, I already run all 3rd Party Hi-Res Textures, but I have such a mix & match that I have no idea which texture file comes from which pack. imo Hi-Res textures really improve the look and immersion of LFS and now that we have the ability to have Hi-Res skins then I think it is the next logical graphical improvement, even if it should be low priority.
But I too think it wouldn't take much to add it, the soundpack is proof of that. Maybe "scavier" could employ the current Hi-Res texture makers to help with it's implementation, which then wouldn't take a lot of time away from the LFS Dev's & allows them to continue with their planned updates.
I know Electrik-Kar is planning on releasing all his Hi-Res textures as one big texture pack, maybe he knows something we don't.
I love the new feature of a the custom header templates, it sure will make life a lot easier when you release updates, great work
It is also great to see you fixed the bugs you could fix so quickly and implemented many of the improvement suggestions, excellent.
I understand the reason for keeping the bin folder, ppl will soon work it out.
"LFSSTATS FTW"
EDIT: New bug found, still using v0.6, split times for split 2 & 3 are the same - both Divisons? DivA Race Stats Note same files replay as yesterday above. DivB Race Stats Can supply replay file for DivB if you need it.
I raced with Sin last night when this all happened and he was not the only one effected by it. The dipper at Aston North doesn't help as most fast setups will not stop damage from happening in that part of the circuit no matter how careful you drive. Saying that I am in two minds about this issue/suggestion, maybe an in-between solution would be that you can only switch off minor damage repairs and all major repairs & susp damage has to be fixed regardless, I know it probably wouldn't effect your overall pit stop time by a great deal but this is a simulator and last I checked real life pit crews don't fix minor dings in pit stops :P
Also the ability to only change single tyres or two (F/R or L/R) should be available, this would allow for a lot more tyre strategy and in-turn some control of overall pit stop time. Also can someone tell me why it takes so damn long for 2 tyres to change, most race series around the world can do it in under 10sec these days, LFS seems to take that long just for 2 tyres.
I would also like to see a feature to enable the stopping of the refuel when you want, I find that at times you just don't get a chance (or forget) to set it before you actually stop and then you locked in the pit bay until that amount of fuel is loaded. Refuel always occurs as the last thing in a pit stop so doesn't effect the other repairs and changes required & the time for them to be completed.
Qual Stats Qual replay (7MB)
1. The 1st shortcut link at top of page says "Qualifications Qualification Results", should just be "Qualification Results" imo.
2. Flag column in Qualification Results Table, is it required, no stats.
3. As mentioned earlier Qual Duration doesn't list how many minutes in the event table.
4. Track details only show the shorthand version - twice "AS7 (AS7)", does this in the race template also.
5. Strange Lap Time Stability figures from 11th place down, seems odd, not sure if it is a bug?
6. Average Lap stats from 12th spot down seem strange.
7. Combined Best Lap Time seems wrong "1:36.05", considering the best possible lap for 1 driver is a 1:48.81? This is also an issue with the race template.
Race Stats Race Replay (22MB - sorry)
1. As mentioned earlier Track details only show the shorthand version - twice "AS7 (AS7)", does this in the qual template also.
2. Flags & Penalties in Race Results table are blank? Not sure if LFSSTATS is capturing penalties yet?
3. Combined Best Lap Time seems wrong, same as above in Qual Bugs.
4. Drivers who have no pit stops still appear in Pit Stops table.
Sorry for seeming to be very demanding but best to list what I see and let you decide what needs fixing.
Keep up the great work
EDIT: I have questions about the number of laps counted in Qual:
Does it count the outlap as a completed lap? It probably shouldn't if it does.
Also does it count whole laps only or part of a lap as a whole lap?
Thanks Misko, I will change all the other templates to UTF-8 also, hadn't even thought of that.
Gai-Luron, I have also noticed that there is no stats data in the flags & penalties columns in the race results table. I am not sure if they are programmed yet or a bug that needs correcting?
Yes that is correct indie, LFSSTAT is the bin folder, I only extract the bin folder and then rename it to LFSSTAT, then its ready to go. I do however change the LFSStat.cfg file to english language for obvious reason (read my previous post).
It does behave very similar to the old LFSStats that Smith developed, which is a good thing - if you could use the old one then you will find this version by Gai-Luron's is just as easy
Gai-Luron, maybe you should rename the bin folder in the RAR file and call it LFSSTAT to avoid further confusion?
It looks like you may be missing the english.txt file in the lang folder or that the LFSStat.cfg file is not set for the correct language, open the LFSStat.cfg file & check the part at the bottom that says "lang = xxxxxx, (default is french maybe change it to english, just type it in and save.
Hopefully that works.
Thank you once again Gai-Luron for quickly fixing any bugs reported and implementing new suggestions.
The whole Australian LFS league racing scene is grateful to you for keeping this great app and project alive
Hi Gai-Luron,
Noticed the pitstop table shows every racer regardless of whether they actually pitted.
Example Here: http://www.ozsport.org/stats/m ... FXR_Rd02_DivA_R2.html#pit. Taken from same replay as yesterday.
Is there any way of capturing what lap they did pit and having it included in the pitstop table?
Also I think I found another bug, where the split number is incorrect for races on Aston Cadet, the 2nd split gets listed under the split 3 table while the split 2 table is blank. Replay here: http://www.mondaynightracing.c ... fxr/Round3_DIVB/race3.mpr
Sorry if I keep hounding you, I hope you don't mind
OMG Gai-Luron, you are a development machine, great work.
Not only have you fixed the last bug I found but also added all the improvements I suggested in one go.
Will test 0.5 today
EDIT: I noticed that you didn't include the shortcut links to the new stats (pitstop/flags) at the top of the new race template, so I created them and have attached a copy if you want to include it in the next release. Hope that is O.K.
Hi Gai-Luron, Wow great work in fixing the last bug report I made
I think I may have another, I haven't tried to duplicate it yet but thought it is worth bringing up now in case you get time to look at it. This bug is simply the fact that a racer appears twice in the stats results (MAM_Racing_40), I am not sure why but maybe he had a disconnect or warped to pits? I haven't checked that deeply yet.
BTW are you looking at incorporating all the pitstop, flag detail information like Smith did just before he stopped? I think it is a great feature and adds a lot of useful info you wouldn't normally find easily.
Even the number plate capture was nice as you don't get a chance to see them while racing.
Anyway keep up the great work.
I also have 2 questions:
Is the WR difference values using the PubStat system working and if so where do I place my pubstat number to activate it?
Is it here: LFSSTat, Version=0.4.1.39522, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null?
BTW what does the neutral mean?
And is there any way I can edit the file format of the output files (html, lbl etc) and if not is it part of your future development plans?
Keep up the great work and I love your Lap by Lap table
New version will be tested tonight
No offence taken, I was lmao as well. Oh I was also very embarrassed. tbh I didn't really look at the date as the LFS Database website has been down for a couple of days and iirc the date on their webpage a day or two ago said the 24th May.
You see I use the site a lot rather than trawl threw all the different threads in the LFS forum, so was getting a little impatient.
Hey I like that "VDA" for short.
I also thought that you could change one of duke_toaster's to make it Vehicle Setup Simulator (VSS). Keeping it more in line with Bob's philosophy that it is more than a motorsport/race car tool.
Bob, hang in there the right one for you will pop-up soon enough.
Ah yeah lol, I completely forgot about the northern hemisphere being 1 day behind the southern, as it is already the 27th where I am. Sorry for that I will go and curl up back in my hole now
I get an error when trying to unzip the download, it is not working for me.
Any ideas what is causing this?
Also I need to ask is your new stats compatible with the new insim version (v4.0?) used in the test patches & the soon to be released patch X?
I ask this, as you state your new stats uses UDP which I assume uses the new insim version via it's UDP connectivity.
Thanks for your great work and I look forward to giving it a test once I can get it downloaded.
+1 & I would also like to have the ping bars visible at the some time as any of the F9-F12 keys are being used. Using W26 & in cockpit view the ping bars disappear if I have one of the funtions open & I can't seem to find a setting to get them back.
