Sorry to bring another issue/bug to light Gai-Luron but I have noticed some issues when using LFSSTAT online from my client PC.
I used LFSSTATS "live" during our Monday Night Racing League and noticed that the starting order was incorrect for 2 out of the 3 races.
The format of the nights racing was as follows:
Qual (20mins)
Race 1: Grid Positions taken from Qual
Race 2: Reverse Grid from Race 1 finish positions
Race 3: Reverse Grid from Race 2 finish positions
After the conclusion of racing and on review of each of the STATS I noticed that Race 1 & 2 had incorrect starting positions to what they should have been. However Race 3 was correct.
I then re-run the STATS offline using the replays and the starting positions were generated correctly, so it looks like there may be a bug with the starting position coding when using LFSSTATS online??
Below are the comparison STATS outputs for your reference:
Online "Live" Stats:
Qual Online
Race 1 Online
Race 2 Online
Race 3 Online
"Offline" Stats from Replays
Race 1
Race 2
Race 3
BTW I had noticed this same issue the week before when trying to use LFSSTATS online but thought I had done something incorrectly but now that it occurred 2 weeks in a row I thought I would ask for your assistance in looking at fixing it, if possible.

Lastly the second issue I noticed which occurs when using LFSSTATS either Online & Offline is the positions shown in the "pitstops" table, if you look at race 2 & 3 the number under the "p" column do not start form P1 as it looks as though positions p"1" to p"x" (x=no of racers who did not pit) are taken by those drivers who did not perform a pitstop and consequently don't appear on the "pitstops" table, however I would of thought that the positions should always start form p1 in the "pitstops" table for the racers who do complete a pitstop?

I would appreciate of you could advise if these issues can be corrected. Thanks once again for you time & efforts.

Hey Bob, All running now & can open sets no problem however on opening a new set via File - Open (Ctrl-O) menus the car picture does not update to the correct car for that set, it stays as the UF1 picture that is loaded on start-up??

Hi Bob, I am getting a problem window that says "incorrect vehicle data file version" when I try to run the updated version 3.1.1. I have to hit O.K 20 times before VHPA runs and states "Analysis not available while creating / editing a vehicle. I did select LFS mode in the installer.
Any Ideas on what's causing this?
BTW the last version was working fine..

Hi Gai-Luron, great to see the new update includes the picture of the track used.

I think I may have found a small bug/error with the track name of the new South City Chicane Route Track.
Take a look at the track name from a race on the South City Chicane Route Reverse Track in the following Stats to see what I mean.
I also noticed that SO6 is not in your tracks.txt file.

I also have a small suggestion to see if it is possible to have the driver swap - take over car (relay) table removed if no driver swaps occurred when stats are generated. Not sure if that is possible but wanted to ask.

Quote from Gai-Luron :The file language english.txt seems corrupted, look inside this file if i do an error

For now i reinstall my new computer, and i can't look at this

Gai-Luron

Thanks Gai-Luron, I just double checked and found the english.txt file has a couple of carriage returns (blank lines) at the end of the file which was causing the error. Once I removed them it works
Here is the updated file for anyone who needs it:

BTW check your PM's..

Thanks for the reply Wulle, I did place it into the windows autostart folder after posting this the other day, works fine and no need for auto start now

Loving the new version with refresh time now being configurable & semi-auto update of buddies, sweet!

Thanks for this great G15 applet Wulle.
After just getting a G15 I then discovered this and must say it is brilliant, works a treat and I can see my buddies LFS activities in real-time

EDIT: Only thing is it says it is not auto start-able in the settings, so can this be set somewhere in the cfg now or coded in a future update?

Hey Woz,

I am also interested in this project continuing from both a personal and an admin perspective. I have actually used some of your old BSP sets in an number of ways including using a slightly modified one for a league race as well as circuit orientation and combo testing as part of my admin roles, where time spent developing a comfy set is time lost testing the combo to see if it will produce a good event.

I totally understand & empathise with the issues you face with such an exercise, I too hate the locked diff (alien) mentality but until real race diff's are recoded in LFS to be quicker this will continue to be a problem. I also feel that obtaining race sets will always prove difficult as teams and individuals seem to keep them pretty close to there chests compared to HL sets, mind you many a race set start life as a HL / Qual set anyway imho. I have heard that Inferno now accept race sets in the setup field but again I am not to sure how successful this will be.

The other aspect to these BSP sets is their use in a fixed set event / series. I see you have raised the idea of being able to lock setups over in the improvements thread and a group of us Aussies who compete in the MNR are currently in deep discussion about this very aspect, If you want come and have a look here, start from Pg2: http://www.ozbee-racing.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=2209

Anyway once you get this of the ground again let me know and I will see what I can do to assist you.

Sensational Bob, preview works a treat with me & can't wait for the full version release.
Thanks again for your continued development of this great app.
I am interested to know how this project was received at school? I don't remember you mentioning it since it was completed & submitted

Quote from DarkTimes :Points for leading a lap and most leaded laps are not possible at the moment, as parsing that kind of data from the MPR file is problematic.

If you want to add a driver penalty you can adjust a drivers points by right-clicking on their name in the championship view and selecting adjust points. It's true however that in the export and championship data it doesn't tell you if a drivers points are the result of a penalty or adjustment, so this may well be an area for improvement.

That would be a good improvement
I would also like to see included in the export a tally of each racers points awarded for each race/round of a championship so admins/racers could see how the total points have been accumulated. It would also help with showing who placed on the podium each race/round of a championship. Just a suggestion.

Quote from Rolle :Does ths great statsutility work with driver swaps?

I tried to get stats from a 3 hour race we held a few days ago and
it looks fine all the race but when the race has ended
there are no files and some error in the console
before it closes

No it didn't work for me either for driver swap races, read my post above..

I am assuming you are using 3ds max, if so I found this on another thread here a while ago, it may help but it is quite small to see properly.

Quote from Locovich :well... i´ve done a full test of this app... and it is great! Thanks!

Now, some questions:
I´ve tested on an own server, but, how can i add it to a dedicated server running on a pc i don´t know where? i mean... i know the ip, and the insim port... but stills cant connect.... I think the only way is to run the app on that pc... but thats not really possible. The server is rented and they dont let me access the pc... is someting i can do?

Yes I have found the same issue, would really like to be able to run it locally pointed to a dedicated race server that I know the IP address for.
I have the same issue with another app that I want to use.

I am pretty sure Peptis fixed this after we helped him test it locally in AUS and found the same issue, along with others. I am guessing he never updated here this forum. I will let him know you have mentioned it and see if he can reply.

Hi Bob, I have just tried to install VPHAv3-LFS onto my Vista install.
I am getting a COMDLG32.OCX error which I presume is due to not having the VB run files, however when checking OS versions on the VB6 download page there is no mention of Vista support.
So can I just install them onto Vista or is there something else I need?
Any help would be appreciated.

Anyone else having trouble with the new ver (0.6) crashing with Vista 32?
It can't seem to load the graphs and freezes (not responding).
Ver 0.5 works fine in Vista 32 for me, so have gone back to that for now.

wsinda, are you aware of any such bugs?

Quote from Jan Stepanek :I made the alpha channel (to the holes on the disc too). And the center of the disc is too in alpha (hole), then I choose in dds photoshop plug-in: No MIP maps / DXT5 ARGB (Interpolated Alpha)

These are sensational, love the fact that there are actual cooling holes. Top Work!! - Jan Stepanek
My only suggestion would be that the middle should be filled with some sort of hub as some of the wheels in LFS don't really have a hub built into them & it is this file that has them normally.

Yeah I don't stretch at all, just doesn't work well, instead I make adjustments, resize logo's and check the changes in CMX Viewer.
shadow2kx provided a great tip on how to automate the changes you make in PhotoShop directly in Viewer. Read it here: http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?p=551663#post551663
You still have to make minor continual changes but it is quicker with less steps to check their effect in viewer. Hopefully you are using PhotoShop or your editing tool has a similar action recording option.

Quote from Moonclaw :And how does this relate to the topic at all?

Oh I miss read you earlier post & thought you have been using spectator in-conjunction with LFS so you could easily do the admin role with the macro buttons.

Now I see what you mean in that the admin control shows the username not the racernames in the other spectator windows.
Sorry for the confusion.
