Just one thing maybe for realism, if you are basing it on an English city/road system maybe everyone should have an English style number plate i.e: P362 GAV ?
It was on UKCT Race 2 server, the wind was 31mph and like Mr End says; it can make fast cornering difficult! The writing looks fine to me, except if your talking about the googlevideo'ed crap re-encode version (if so watch the .wmv one). I do think I need some AA next time though
Heres the replay, I think it's funny even if nobody else agrees with me
I just have to say that is simply outstanding work, the attention to detail is unmatched. I know a few people who have done 3D modeling & animation courses at Uni and none of their work compares to that!
I can only see him digging himself in a deeper hole with this statement!?
Is he just throwing his toys out the pram because he was not let through by Hamilton during the fuel burn stages? Perhaps another reason to think Alonso believes he should be treated as number one over his team-mate?
From what I saw of the incident it was clear to me Hamilton was held up by Alonso after the order was given (frantically!) for him to go. I don't see how this can be seen in any other way regardless of earlier incidents (which were in no way detrimental to the qualifying outcome.
However I think Alonso should be punished by the team, not by the FIA (i.e. held back at pit stop perhaps, not (quali) places or points taken away)
I have searched for this in the forum but have not found a similar request...
The current system dictates that we should specify a percentage amount of wear to each tyre before it is changed at a pit stop. I would like the ability to select which tyres should be changed individually at the next pit stop from the F12 menu.
For example under the tyres option have 4 buttons: FL, FR, RL, RR.
You can then move between buttons with the left & right arrow keys and select with another key (space or shift for example) and when a tyres is to be changed, it is highlighted, when it is not to be changed it is not highlighted (toggle with select key)
I only ask this as it is hard to gauge how worn your tyres are at any given moment
I wonder if anyone else feels this would be an improvement, and with my limited programming experience I would hasten to say it should not be too hard to implement with boolean flags, one for each wheel?
im not sure if this is the right section for this so feel free to move it...
After the new test patch I have been able to connect to servers using the cs port range 27000 - 27015.
Setting my port to 27005 in cfg.txt and then running the game does let me see some servers, however it takes an absolute age to search through the list in game. Also using lfsworld I cannot see the ports of the servers.
Is there any way to only search a specific port range and discard any others, or perhaps show the ports in lfsworld to allow me easier (and faster) access to servers I can connect to?
for example, I have been searching for servers now for 15 mins and on host 350 out of 570.
I emailed the admins today, fighting for my cause, and also used "if cs works, why cant lfs?" but in a more roundabout way.
Also I would be enternally greatfull if you do run a server on the 27000 range, I just hope im not the only one who will use it.
The only server I can see atm is a demo server called pingzone.co.uk, I can connect and drive fine with no lag on this server, but its demo and runs bl car park
Maybe I should start a "help J get past the evil network admins" post
I have a previous thread about my uni network not allowing me to play games. However since the new test patch I have been able to unlock using 8080 for the master server.
However I still cannot see any servers, I assume this is becuase of ports being blocked still, however I have found I can play counter-strike through the network, now with this info is there any way I can configure lfs to find servers?
any comments are greatly appreciated
*Update*
I changed the port to 27010 and managed to get access to one demo server, it was just running bl car park tho
is there any S2 server running in the cs port ranges that I could get onto, it seems my only hope!
Im still unsure about this point, back when I could race online I used to frequent the AS National GTR servers, which were sometimes set to 20 laps, if they were half way through the race I would join to get some praccy.
I would never get in anyones way and be extra curtious as im not fighting for position, but if I came up to a driver very quickly who was obviously a lot slower than me, id tail them for a bit and pass when safe to do so. Now sometimes when this happened I would get spammed with "BLUE FALG MOVE OVER" and that did used to annoy me, afaik if you are consistantly faster and dont cause an accident its prefectly ok to cruise past
They are very well made and essential viewing for beginners. It should teach you what you need to know about leaving pits and pitting in one watch (each)
When I was in Ibiza the smaller clubs in San An sometimes played real life racing footage on screens around the club. The LFS Spain videos always remind me of this and I find them very enjoyable to watch, this is no exception
I think I can safely say this isnt the first movie you have ever made, the production is outstanding, the music in perfect synchronization, the effects flow seamlessly, the camera angles spot on... are you a professional?
I recorded at 25fps at 0.125 then doubled the speed, I guess movie maker doesnt actually double the framerate?
Ill have a look for a seperate program to do that in future.
As for the song, im not a huge trance or tiesto fan but as I do the odd bit of DJ'ing I wouldnt call him untalented. And for the record Barbers original is outstanding work, thats probably why I like the trance mix
